See at the end of the day cse have the best placement. So whatever comes, it's a win win for you cause in older iits electrical is also good. Only difference is that you will get more exposure in older iits.

Interdisciplinary science is made for research purpose. It's aim is for higher studies. But coding aati ho to kuch bhi ho sakta h

hey, this branch as the name suggests is multidisciplinary so you can go in any field you are interested in. And if you take Mathematics then it will be very helpful in AI/ML and Logic Building(coding). Also, in this branch you can explore yourself more as there are many electives which you can take in the subjects you are interested like finance, data science, physics etc. So, basically it is like the B.S branches that are in other IITs infact I would say it is better in a way that you get to study different topics and subjects which will help you in understanding your area of interest, and if you see the trend in the market interdisciplinary approach is required in all fields and companies are also looking for people who have knowledge in multiple fields, so PLACEMENTS will be good only for this branch for sure and if you want to pursue higher studies you can do that also...
