Just now watching this, though a year old video. So, it I sell a mug to a buyer for $15 that costs me $8.95 from Printful, I have to send Printful $8.95 before the money from the buyer is available to me? Just trying to get this clear in my head, so if I have a viral video that sells 5000 mugs overnight, I have to pay Printful 5000 x $8.95 or $44,750 before the buyer funds clear - so I have to come up with that money on my own? Or, how long before the buyers payment clears, where it is available for me to use it to pay Printful? Sorry, I am just trying to figure this all out and don't wanna get into an awkward situation.

If I am going to do this, it would make better sense to do a pre sale on items I can just make myself at a way lower cost and with better blanks. You guys up charge on each product & the catalog is very hard to find trendy blanks. Then on top of it all, this is being sold as an easy way to set up a drop shipping store just for me to be required to pay out of pocket on each order for my customer to even get it. False advertising isn't cool lol and I really feel as if I have wasted a lot of time I will never get back with this service.

From my understanding of Printful u would need to have money in your wallet to cover the sales orders from customers. So someone starting out on a small budget will rarely have money in their wallet to cover possible hundreds or thousands of orders at the prices Printful charge + your add on, $100 in your Printful wallet would cover maybe 4 hoodies or 5-6 Tee's at the most. If i'm correct? Then we would have to wait for clearing of payments. Which could take days or longer. Thus many orders could be cancelled out. We as a small sellers could have cashflow problems here, and loose customers at the very beginning. I hope i'm wrong.

Hi, Anthony! The moment when you receive the funds from the customer depends on which ecommerce platform/marketplace you're using, their rules, and your payment system of choice. We'd start fulfilling orders only once they've been paid for, that is correct. However, it's possible to enable Manual Order Confirmation in your settings. Fr just got my 1st order (mom bought it ☺️ ) sold a hoodie for $45 total ended up being about $52. I fufill the order and it made me pay $39 total. For some reason it made me and the customer both pay about 8 dollars for shipping I thought I wouldn't have to pay myself for shipping 😢

Hi! When your customer places an order, there are two different transactions happening. One between you and your customer, and the other one between you and Printful. The price that your customer pays depends on your retail prices, but you’d have to pay us for fulfillment and shipping. The difference between these two transactions would be your profit. 😊

Can one just keep all funds in the wallet including profits? Why take a payout if you're just going to be billed and have to deposit funds again? Also what if more orders come in and what was in the wallet is depleted? Are you notified for fulfillment and can one make one bulk charge on a credit card to deposit into the wallet? Lots of questions still.

Hi! Please note that we don't have transactions with your end-customer, therefore, your profit is collected and paid out to you by your store's platform only. When setting up billing on your Printful account, one of the first steps is to add a billing method to your Printful dashboard which is used as the primary billing method. You can also make deposits to Printful Wallet and use them for order fulfillment, and if the funds in the Wallet run out, your primary billing method would be charged. Regarding the fulfillment, the charge happens per order, however, if you prefer one bulk charge, you can enable the manual order approval and then approve the orders in one payment. This is very helpful, I was struggling to figure out using paypal with printful because my big cartel site only takes paypal, I wasnt sure if my customers payment sent to me through paypal would be able to be sent to printful to start production of the purchased item. Now I know to use the manual order confirmation so I can wait for my paypal funds to be accessible to pay to printul to avoid having to preload money to the printful wallet instead

I'm looking at making prints and limited edition prints of acrylic paintings - what system would you suggest for signing them before they go to the end user. Seems like I would end up paying for shipping x2. Maybe I let them know events ill be at that they can have the prints they purchased signed by me. Do you have a way to add a certificate of authenticity with a stamp, serial number, also can I add a qr code. The goal is to make them collectible and selll a bunch of them.

My store is set up. Orders are being purchased and Printful is delivering the products to my customers. I use Woo Commerce. I have not seen $1 of profit. Who sends me the money for my profit on each item and where would that money be deposited. Hundreds of dollars have been taken by Printful from the wallet. Nothing paid to me. Am I missing something? There are two places where invoices can be viewed and downloaded in your Printful Dashboard. 1. Under Billing > Payments. There you can see an overview of all your transactions. You can filter them by date range, store, billing method, and transaction status. 2. Under Orders > Delivered. Open the ''Order View'' window by clicking on the order, then click ''Invoice''.

Why does printful work this way? Why make it risky for your partners to have success? Most of us work with other drop shipping and print-on-demand services that do not charge us for products that our customers order. Paying for products before they have been sold is exactly what new businesses are trying to avoid when they choose to work with a print-on-demand or drop shipping platform. Printful may have some benefits as far as integration but I will be steering my customers toward platforms that can handle payments on their own and require less risk on my end.

When a customer places an order on your store, that money gets paid to you through a payment gateway we don’t have access to. Since we don’t have access to that payment from your customers, we charge you the cost as orders come through to our system. Hope this helps clarify! 🙂

I am not starting an online business or intend to, I just ordered a couple tank tops with a design I liked for myself. Ordered and paid on Aug 27th, received on Sept. 5th. Nice tank tops with good printing, satisfied customer......until this morning when I have an email invoice for the same order in my email box. I understand e-commerce and payment processing etc, can be a bit daunting to understand for some people but double billing is not understandable.....Just imagine a E-shop owners customers getting billed twice.

It doesn’t matter how much you try to sugar coat the Printful wallet, you will still end up at a loss. I managed to sell 4 t-shirts on Etsy via Printful and I ended having £63.94 extracted out of my bank account 3-4 after a sale by Paypal. When doing the maths, I realised that it didn’t matter how much I charged for a t-shirt, 3-4 days after a sale the same amount of money would be extracted out of my bank account. E.g £100 t-shirt would result in £100 been taken out of my bank account by Paypal.When trying to reach out to both Printful and Paypal, neither party is taking responsibility and just sent me on a wild goose chase. What they should be doing between themselves is 1. working out a way of compensating me back my money 2. Making sure that nobody else falls victim to this, because in my opinion, money has been unfairly taken out of my bank account. I was initially excited when I first made a sale, but I wasn’t to know that it would cost me money. I was looking at this Print on Demand t-shirt business as a way of making passive income on top of my regular job. As the market is saturated with lots of designs, I wasn’t expecting to receive any significant short term profits. On the other hand, I wasn’t expected to receive any losses either and shocked to know that I have been giving my money away. This has left me demoralised, and as left me conceding that this Print on Demand t-shirt business is nothing but a waste of time.

@@PrintfulCustomPrinting I've had this explained to me several times, but it doesn't answer the question as to why I've lost a substantial amount of money. Even when I've been notified about making a sale and a profit, it still leaves me in deficit because it doesn't cover what Paypal has taken out of my bank account. In my opinion it should work like this 1. As the supplier and distributor(Printful), this is where I set my price for the product.2.This is then relayed to Etsy who are responsible for advertising the product that is charged for a minimal fee of $0.20. 3. Once a sale has been made, Etsy are then responsible for relaying the relevant information to yourselves so that you can manufacture and distribute the product. The money that the customer pays should go directly to you (Printful).The only thing Paypal should be doing is paying whatever profit that I have made. Your platform should have a minimum rrp that I can charge for a product as well as a fixed postage price that I can't change so it makes it impossible to leave me out of pocket.
