For the skills portion of the exam, will I have to introduce myself before every skill? Or just the first skill which is hand washing?
@4yourcna6 жыл бұрын
You will introduce yourself at the beginning of every skill. Handwashing is not the first skill. You will wash your hands DURING the first skill, both before care and after care. But the first skill on your care plan will not be handwashing. Hope this helps and best of luck!

What if I fail the test three times tell me where when and how to proceed again is the 120 hrs free and where to go
@4yourcna7 жыл бұрын
If you fail all 3 attempts, you would need to complete a 120 hour program with clinicals in order to be eligible to re-test. Most colleges offer this program and no, it is not free. You would need to contact your local college or trade school for pricing. Floridasnursing.gov publishes a listing of all licensed 120 hour programs in Florida. Good luck!

@4yourcna7 жыл бұрын
Prometric states include: AL, AR, CT, DE, FL, HI, ID, MI, NM, NY, OK. Other states use different testing companies. While the procedures may be similar, the scenarios and testing checkpoints may vary slightly. You should always check the clinical skills checklist for your state for specific testing scenarios. The Nurse Aide Candidate Guide for MA can be found at www.redcross.org/ma/boston/testing. Thank you for your comment!

California has both American Red Crosd (Association or Nationally Accepted Program) and also what most states have is the official NNAAP (Natl' Nurse Aide Assessment Program) which currently tests about 70% of new NAs nationally in 27 US States & Terr./Wash DC. You can get the NACEP (testing) information through PearsonVue's Website or going directly to NNAAP & MACEs website. California and most States are nothing like these online videos! Florida is one of the few States that in-regards to the Federal guidelines offers both the NACEP & the NATCEP paths to Certification. Nurse aides are not Federally mandated to required to have "institutionalized" or State approved facility training, but they are required to either offer the NATCEP (training & competency evaluation) or the CEP (competency evaluation program of skills demonstration & written/oral knowledge based test unless the State waives that part with a different set of requirements to show minimum standard requirements of new NAs for the 1st day of employment). To usually take the CEP in most States need to provide other requirements from LPN/RN training, or Military training or being licensed currently/previously in another jurisdiction. So check with Sacramento before taking California State Approved Program which is way up there at 180 hours I believe? That's not cheap but if you pass the NACEP and get a job with a CMS approved facility (skilled nursing homes and federal approved medicaid Home Health Agencies
