To summarise, it’s wildly ugly, underpowered, has an inferior 4wd system, has a few extra mm in the tray than a ranger and will probably cost the same as competitors. Not exactly compelling.

A lot of people hating on this truck without knowing what it's even like is what's so funny. Speaks so much about those individuals. Lol It's one of those "love it or hate it" design. I personally like it. I would buy one if I needed a truck.

How do they expect to complete with Ranger with that awful styling and below std engine? I want to support the Tasman, but they are so wide of the mark. It would need to be 20k less than the Ranger to even consider.

It simply does not compare! It’s butt ugly, so only blind drivers and the mentally challenged fleet buyers will look at it! It’s down on power and torque, so it will struggle to pull a caravan or cruise easily! It’s got a 20 year old engine, so it’s not a great thing compared to its rivals. But look at this thing, even your grandmother would call it “ fugly “ Yuk!

Watching keenly from South Africa. A lot of people rubbished the new 70 Series Land Cruiser with the four-pot. However, it has turned out to be more performant and economical even in towing tests than the V8. Drivetrain efficiency is key, not just big numbers. As for the styling, it's growing on me - but I cannot help hoping that someone at Kia will revise those headlights inwards. As they are, the first bush that juts out onto a trail could total them. So much for rugged design. Maybe they had to place them so far out to make a huge frontal cooling area for that 2.2 diesel heaving away underneath? One area where they seem to have aced is the interior. It looks well executed and has all the accoutrements (sunroof too!) to lead the segment. Okay, a sliding rear window would be a welcome addition. Time will tell.

This looks fire. Atleast theyre trying. Legacy brands stick with the same sauce. If everyone is honest, there as much uglier to find depending of who looks and how. A pretty utility makes and much sense as buying a utility for speed. Regular cars will toy with you. It looks rugged in the right way, plus that interior speaks to all the pavement princess buys. It combines 2 worlds that makes sense
