If you want to permanently turn off S/S system you need to permanently switch on engine bonet sensor to open position. Simply if engine bonet is opened (for example during regular maintance or servis) the S/S system is deactivated. Patrick, all cars equip wit S/S system do not use regular car battery but AGM batteries ( different technologies) witch are much more resistant tu huge number of recharging. While regular car battery costs around 50 euros, the price of AGM battery is around 250 euros and you have to visit car dealer because if you want to replace it - it is much more complicated then replacing regular car battery.

Hi I have new Renault duster in dubai. My problem is when I use navigation system for going any destination. The car makes beep sound . I wonder if it's due to over speed of car at certain places . If I don't use any navigation. Then this beep does not occur even if I over speed . Also I have question of another car comes very close to us on rear side during driving .does it beep again . As I have rear car sensors . have a doubt on this. Can anyone help please

Start/Stop tech is garbage. No money is saved because every time the engine re-starts it uses more fuel than if it was idling. It is just used to get around emissions regs.

This system is completely bullshit on all cars, absolutely stupid technology. Owner of the car has no benefit from this system because money savings on fuel consumption will be significantly lees then changing new (AGM) battery once it failed. Of course, engine and many car electrical systems are under stres because of to many engine restarting. I have this system on my Renault Megane and I will turn it off permanently.
