How Dr. Doofenshmirtz Became A Good Guy

I never really thought of Doof as evil. To me he was more like a friendless loser that gave Perry something to do. Overtime I do think that the two did develop a deep connection with each other. As for his relationship with Vanessa, it was really touching. She knew the true him before he even knew himself.

He never was evil. His inventions were more chaotic and annoying than evil

It's a game to him. He plays the bad guy and reveals a tragic story from his past and Perry plays the hero that defeats his evil plot. He always expects Perry to beet him. The only difference is that the weapons are real. He doesn't even understand villains that don't fit the game formula as he is often accusing them of doing something wrong like not sharing a tragic back story.

He always tried his best to make vanessa happy and be there for her since his parents were never there for him. What a legend.

My favorite scene from the entire show is in the episode This is Your backstory. In this episode Doof charges his Backstory-inator by making him remember about his painful backstories, and it's mesured by the gnome-o-meter. My favorite moment is when the gnome-o-meter was almost at the top, but then Vanessa shows up making him remember all his happy memories, and the gnome-o-meter falls all the way down.

Doof is a good example of a cartoon villain. The number one rule is that they can’t win, they just try to hard to be evil. You think it would get to them at some point right? It’s nice to see that here, also to see his life outside of villainy. He has a daughter that he cares and loves for very much.

I love the fact one of his invention worked, was the forget animator. He made the world forget what you call the tip of a shoelaces. Just imagine if he made people forget how to use a door handle or drive the car. He was a misunderstood man who wanted the world to feel how he felt. It's cool how he turned to the good side and in the process his inventions were used for better purposes. I still think it's hilarious and most of them were foiled because he put his self destruct on them.

He’s not a bad guy. He just has a horrible childhood as a kid. His parents never showed up to his birth, he was raised by ocelots, his parents loved his brother WAY more than him, heck I’m pretty sure his own brother didn’t love him and his only friend was a Balloon with a face on it. It was all that stuff that made him a villain to begin with. Linda was the one who convinced him to take over the Tri State Area.

Even after all his failed inators and being put down, Perry and Dr D became a nemesis duo until the end At the end Perry still thinks he's evil, and to me he'll always be the evil scientist/pharmacist of Doofensmhirtz Evil Incorporate

Alright, a few things. Well Doof did say that he hoped something bad had happened to Perry when he didn't come, but showing that he really cared about him and wanted him to be his nemesis and spend time with him (eg: doing exercise) and choosing him over Peter the Panda, maybe he didn't really mean that. Isaac is right that Vanessa didn't see her dad as a loser. She stuck up for him and called him a misunderstood genius. Also, interestingly, when he worked in OWCA, he actually ended up causing more harm than good and went back to being 'evil'. However, it just seems like a heel-face turn that didn't have enough links in it to make sense. Still love Doof though.
