C'mon guys.... try and COVER THIS!!! Not sure if y'all can pull it off anymore without your "studio magic" and secret bag o' tricks. Jordan is like 1 year away from retirement on some beach, JP is playing Gibson amps now, John M is the only one pulling his weight. I don't think you guys got it in you anymore...it was a sick run though. I bet if that Liquid Tension Experience (I think that's it) guys saw this they could play it in a second. I don't think they have a singer, or something...or maybe he was sick that time I saw em. Those guys were good though...like scary good. Check em out sometime Dream Theater guys, they do that crazy music without any 'studio magic', but I still bet they are using the ole 'secret of the pros'

Awesome vid! You did a pretty spot-on job with emulating the member's styles. Hell, you even did a decent job with James LaBrie's inflections, even when vocalists are FAR more difficult to impersonate. That said, I think you actually surpassed Portnoy's old backing vocals lmao. Great song, definitely gave me vibes from all sorts of different albums they've done.

Thanks! These topics are the boundaries between Technical Music and Neo Prog Rock (Metal): skills and music theory to create the fantasy and other dimensions. I have imagined asking to DT if their music could be possible without technology. In this new era only fans (NOT radio, NOT labels) knows what music is good or bad. Best wishes from a sunny place in Chile.

Intro, main riff, verse, pretty spot on, with a lot of "a dramatic turn of events" on it. The chorus was ok, the "crazy instrumental part" was amazing but I really don't see rudess playing it like that and with those sounds, but is Rudess, pretty hard to mimic him, specially his sounds. But amazing job, defo a tribute to the band style and your inner Petrucci must be proud.

This is great! I recognised a lot of my own workflow when I start a new song (it's kind of similar for me...I listened to DT so many times, it's part of my musical DNA and sometimes I just can't help it and everything I do sounds like DT haha). I think the final version still would need a bit of more polish, songwriting-wise and production-wise but given you wrote and produced that track in a few days, the result is absolutely amazing! Favourite moment: when the riff from the intro appears again on the last chord of the chorus, goosebumps!
