I love to play DVa and she's my favorite tank alongside Reinhardt and Wrecking Ball. Tank isn't my strong role but DVa is my must-pick on almost any given map. Her mobility is insane, she can boop and also making so many kills as Baby DVa is quite satisfying!

As a Dva main who has found a good Sombra player I play with, she's really fun to play with because I can finish up what my Sombra can't and the hacked health packs help with staggers like that brig.

Been playing Dva for the past 6 years and 11 months and starting 2018 onwards you need to be aware that 1v1 with a Brigitte usually results in Dva losing because her attacks go through your Defensive Matrix. Furthermore the Swede survives both Ult and Micro missiles with the barrier shield.

It's a bit of a misconception that you have to swap off as soon as you see a Zarya. You just have to play footsies and wait for her bubbles to be on cooldown to get close to her. In an isolated 1v1 with no healers around Dva actually destroys her with micro missiles if Zarya doesn't have any bubbles left. By default Zarya does have a slight upper hand but under certain contexts she can be outplayed by Dva.

@@BeginsWithTheEndin a 1v1 DVa wins easily. Zarya only has 475 HP so if you just kite her bubbles you can delete her in 2 seconds flat. DVa does 148 dps with the cannons, so theoretically with headshots you do 296 dps. Realistically because of the spread you do about 200 damage. The micro missiles theoretically do around 190 damage over 2 seconds, but in reality they actually do roughly 130 damage if every one hits. On a tank you can pretty much guarantee every missile will hit, especially if you rocket boost into them (which also gives you another 15 damage). This means over the course of 2 seconds you can reliably do over 500 damage. 400 from the cannons, 100 from the missiles, and 15 from the boop. I don’t include the melee because the 30 damage is at best an extra 10 damage since your cannons stop firing while you melee, so in reality you actually do less damage this way. The melee is only really useful against smaller targets that more of your pellets will miss thanks to the spread, or being a little off centre with your aim.

Yeah using dva to amplify advantages like that is really potent similar things can be done with other ults too One spare tip I thought of is using matrix to block enemy healing to combo off of slept targets You can eat ana shots, ana nade, kiriko heals, and even kiriko suzu so it can be worth it

Dva works if at least one of your supps are competent. Otherwise... its tough af. Also as someone in high Plat, watching your masters/gm perspective, esp how badly the enemy.play in making decisions (like the cass n mercy), I meet alot of smarter players in my rank.. Makes me.think really the rank system is rly fucked. Also saw in Flat's game widow miss so many ez shots, which in my plat/diamond games, my widows wouldn't miss

The matchmaker itself is currently broken. It is matching Top500/GM/Masters against gold and diamond players, sometimes even lower. I haven't played comp since before OW2 launched because it just wasn't fun for me. Too many toxic players and I'm not a very competitively minded person. I play QP for the weeklies and CTF whenever its available cause it's a fun mode. CANNOT WAIT for PVE to finally be added so there will be something FUN for me.

for dva, her ult is a great zoning tool. it can keep enemies off the objective, or force them into the same area (in a room or behind cover) to shoot at them easier once they come out again. there are certain areas on certain maps where you can get nice kills because there is no good cover around (the tunnel of third point numbani for example) but usually in higher ranks bomb doesnt get many kills. if you're anywhere from bronze to plat, though, throwing it up in the air (kind of at a 45 degree angle) will usually get at least 1 kill as long as the enemy isn't right beside a room or wall. im silver-gold for tank and can usually pull off double-triple kills quite easily! don't worry too much about it though-- it comes with time and practice.

In all ranks, it isn't the best to waste resources before the enemy commits. Especially on defense. The enemy is going to use ultimates and abilities to retake the point and if you throw yours out for kills then they will wait for the guys to respawn and retake the point 10 seconds later with all of their ults. Also everyone plays with cover in high ranks. So they'll just hide from bomb and it's more worth it to go deep for kills/bait out abilities. Then u can still live and regain all of your abilities when u otherwise would die or have everything on cooldown and require healing/abilities from your supports.

this could not be more wrong. she is literally the most versatile tank in the game and you will struggle to find any content creator who thinks she's not consistent. She is great at diving, peeling for your backline, and just playing defensively. she can do just about anything and her only weakness is lack of ranged firepower like Winston. you aren't using her ult correctly. it's a zoning tool and it also comes with basically a free meteor strike when you re-mech. even if you never get a single kill with it it's basically a free 2nd health pool (you should almost never be using your ultimate with your mech at close to full hp honestly)
