I think it's just logically William birkin is a genius so he's valuable still even if he's essentially Awol. If you go around getting rid of your best talent you won't have any. In original RE2, those USS have the same outfits and equipments except for HUNK having a red lens. Its weird that we can’t see HUNK in story until “The 4th Survivor” minigame

I really loved that you could find the recording of the U.S.S. killing Birkin for G. It’s the event that practically set off the entire outbreak. So finding the tapes after delving deeper into the sewers immerses me into the conspiracy every time
