Technique-wise, I’d argue he’s actually a better run defender than pass rusher. His technique against the run is often phenomenal, teach tape type of stuff. He’s still very raw as a pass rusher which is why it’s so exciting to think about his ceiling because he’s already a legit pass rusher
@tonyb46012 сағат бұрын
It's gotta be deflating as a pass rusher to think of what moves you're gonna do, knowing you're gonna be double teamed. But the great ones have to get through that so just gotta keep grinding and keep that motor going.
@MattKibblehouse12 сағат бұрын
Seeing Nolan Smith's growth has been awesome. He was so instinctive in college, but last year you could see the wheels turning everytime he touched the field - probably had a lot to do with the Defensive Coordinator drama - but now this year we've seen a return to that Georgia form and it's been much needed.

They were the best in 2022 too but that’s why they rigged it made slippery grass at that State Farm stadium and both teams slipped all game and not one team got a sack they did this to protect their puppet Kermit the frog Mahomes gimpy leg… and Hurts and eagles still out played the KC queefs so the refs had to throw the b.s satanic fix flag to give it to the KC queefs

It only takes one game like this to make someone really believe in themselves. Hes been good all year, but he dominated a playoff game, and is a big reason why we won. Im hoping his confidence propels him to a dominant playoff run

He couldn't get on the field and got hurt. In pro sports you only get so many shots and the Huff and BG injuries forced more playing time and he developed. Zach Baun was in same boat, limited chances which didn't make the best of and ended up in Philadelphia.
@tBeNz015 сағат бұрын
@@reubensandwich9249I think I read somewhere that New Orleans (I think thats who had him last yr) had him playing outside LB. Fangio moved him inside when he got here and he's excelled. I think the way Fangio is using Nolan (pretty much a pure pass rusher) takes advantage of what hes good at. Some of these young players just need reps, so they can figure out what works for them for each situation. These guys are so used to dominating at the college level and then they run into these brick walls like Lane Johnson, whom they cant overpower, so they need reps to work on techniques that work for them. Its prob why some of them dont make an impact till yr 3 or 4, after there OG team gave up on them.
@mnat08912 сағат бұрын
@@tBeNz0 I believe that too. You'll never know what you REALLY have in a player, unless they can get on the field and play amongst the best. See how they stack up, hone their skills.

First play is a great example of why running is so tough in the NFL. Defenders are so so good that if a single blocker fails to do his job perfectly, the play is blown up.
