How Easy Is 3D Scanning? Trying the Seal 3D Scanner by 3DMakerPro

I’ve been using this for about a year for action figures. It does an amazing job all things considered. A couple things you have to understand is that you should take the time to clean up the scans before processing. You also benefit from scanning several different angles. The other thing is that the auto alignment doesn’t really get it right. Manual align is great. The other thing I’d that I always clean it up in blender and bring back the details. It’s like getting a great pencil sketch and you have to then go in and ink and color. We’re not there yet to scan and print, but seal is one of the best right now for small objects.

Just got a seal scanner, you know what I used to scan something black that wouldn't scan? Baby powder! Worked great too and cheap compared to those expensive sprays!

Good review I own the Mole and yeah it’s hard to learn how to use the software and scanner. Should have went with another brand

Seal lite .07 ... A1 maxes out at .08 seems like a match to me.

3D scanners aren't quite where I like them yet, but now they're nice and portable, and prices are coming down. Half the price for the Lite version of this, plus slightly more polished software would make me interested in getting one.

That little hole is for drainage if you Resin print it Jeremy.

The original figure(s) in that line all have that tiny hole in the back. It's part of the design for some reason.

I'd guess that the weird drips were due to the camera not getting a good view of it. Might need to move the mini or camera to capture that part. Love your content. Always interesting to see what is next!

I wonder if running this in a completely dark room would make it scan better?

If they cheap out with micro usb what else are they cheating out on. It’s a no from me
