How Easy is it to fix SkyWars?

I go into why my passion for the game faded and what was driving me away while also giving some of my ideas on what could save skywars. When I say skywars I mean make the game enjoyable to play, not revive the game entirely and bring back players. Although I guess that could happen

Also for the prestige part, the person who suggested the new prestiges is an 18 star, they are 37 stars away from even experiencing those prestiges, it makes infinitely more sense to have a high star help make the prestiges for the high prestiges

I think the biggest thing that diminished the player base is the fact that there's barely any youtubers uploading skywars content anymore, that's where most of the influx of new players came from imo, but then again what youtuber would want to play sw with the state its currently in, like you said they really just need to listen to the community and people who actually play the game

I just miss the old perks man. Being able to just run out with no weapon and use robbery and get a kill on a noob was the best but its just not viable anymore and forces you to always grab a weapon from starting chest instead of being able to gamble with mid. Also just loosing so many perks that just made the game a little bit more fun all together make the game a lot less fun now. I used to be excited to get more coins to get more perks to max out everything, but now there's no point.

Nice video! Bro, u have offered the most explanatory and objective way to fix Skywars!! Hypixel should listen to you. But i am not really sure about your offering to reduce amount of exp to get a new lvl, cuz, you know, high star accounts will not be that insane like in the past.

At this point I have given up on skywars, I wish that they would do something to perhaps encourage players from skyblock to give it a go. But at this point I have been playing bedwars and other games in general, I hope you get recognition from the admins on your post. Best of luck SoLike 👍

I used to main skywars about 2 years ago, and no longer play any hypixel at all. I quit about a month after the update dropped where the perks and allat were changed. I agree with literally everything you said in this video, everything you said was a really fair and good take, with plenty of stuff to back it up. Maybe if hypixel would actually listen to more community feedback I'd go back to it...

Well said on a lot of points. They are pushing for Skywars to be competitive, but the loot table does not fit competitive play. Especially agree with the projectile point. It's not just eggs either, it's arrows too. Why did they increase the chance to get a bow from your island. Why can you get a whole stack of arrows from one mid chest. Why can you just randomly get 3 enderpearls from one mid chest in normal mode so frequently (this used to happen like 1/1000 games btw, they adjusted enderpearl RNG). Why can you get full mid gear from one mid chest. Why is salmon not nerfed yet. Why can you mine a diamond chestplate so easily. Why is the kb rod still in the game? So many problems that will never be fixed, because it's mc.hypixel.net... I disagree with your points about matchmaking. At the time they implemented it, the game had a good 2-3k players, which is healthy for a hypixel gamemode. This update alone took out a good 70-80% of the playerbase. Noobs do not want to be obliterated by sweats or bhoppers every game. Sweats do not want to fight a full queue of other sweats. We did not want ranked skywars in normal queues. This was definitely the update that took Skywars to its grave, 100%. The best part: it is now unfixable due to the skywars population being too low. If I were to make changes: Definitely agree projectiles should be capped at stacks of 16. Arrows, maybe 8. Enderpearls should be a lot more rare. If they are moving the game towards competitive play, mid gear should spawn in every mid chest. Depth strider needs to be nerfed and salmon kit adjusted. Mining needs to be nerfed still. KB rod needs to removed. Buff kits with no armor. Nerf armorer, disco, farmer. Bring back old perk system or give us more perk slots.

I am just going to give feedback, these are my opinions and you don't need to agree. 1. I think shouldn't eggs/snowballs nerfed to 16 but like 32, otherwise remove them from mid. There is no point in having 16 thorwables in mid if u can already get them from your main island 2. for the rest I agree tbh, hypixel staff team sucks and only focus on skyblock, even the bedwars update you mentioned I found underwhelming, the ending is just like "you are the # to see me here" like at least put a little more effort into it.

The reason skywars sucks is about 90% the player's fault. When was the last time you had a normal game of skywars where you're not getting cleaned every time you get into a fight? Also when was the last time you fought someone without having to sweat your nuts off? The players make it so unfun and that's why skywars sucks. How to fix? GET RID OF SKILL BASED MATCHMAKING! It is killing the game because new players are queued with bhoppers like every game and high stars are having to deal with some of the stupidest players known to man. (Most commonly known as your average gold prestige). But that's besides the point. The point is is if we get rid of skill based matchmaking, skywars would be so much better for everyone. high stars dont have to queue each other every game and low stars actually have a chance because they'll be fighting real people and not just bhoppers. I hope that made sense.

As a 2016-2021 skywars player, coming back to the game just does not feel great, with start times being significantly longer and multiple sweaty players in every game who make it almost impossible to compete with and perks just not being the same. Returning to the gamemode is just not rewarding nor fun and I can imagine new players have it even worse.

Sweats hate playing against bad players who spam eggs and run and regular players hate playing against sweats. when ranked skywars was a thing it was easier to split the two groups. yes there was a cheating problem but its not like getting rid of ranked skywars did anything to solve that.

ngl, i wanna be realistic here and i dont think skywars is ever getting revived first we got the biggest issue that 1.8 is literally turning 10 years old this year, the version has been stale for a while, due to the quarantine days everything that we could have explored from this version has been explored and pretty quickly too second, even if you update the game, the skywars community still is trash, a lot of my friends lost their desire completely to play sw because of how its not beginner friendly at all. now that insane mode is irrelevant, high prestige players still mine in normal just to get 1 kill at best at the end to maintain their so loved stats. third, no more big content creators, not only for skywars but also for the other minigames, even skyblock too, with videos that would age super fast due to the nature of the game, so the interest in the hypixel community is pretty much dead forth, hypixel never cared enough and never will. During 2020-2021 they had the perfect audience, perfect player count to skywars yet they only updated the game after 2 years and the update wasnt that huge considering the time we had to wait. They take too long updating any game that has a decent amount of players to the point that once they update it in the future, the update feels underwhelming and many people have quit already. I truly believe that there is nothing more that can be done to save skywars, bedwars and everything hypixel related. they had many opportunities and they didnt take any, they had many dedicated community suggestions and they barely listened to any, and we gotta be honest that at some point we all knew it would happen to but yeah

I only play sw to test stuff and warm up, I don’t even care about wins I literally just want quick pvp action but even then it is absolutely awful to play. Loot is so rng based too. I’d rather have healing & pearls be more common but in smaller amounts, same goes for armor but with lower level enchants until later into the game. It’s also the game I learnt to pvp in and while it wasn’t as sweaty back then it was still just so rng based.

As a bedwars player the biggest thing that is stopping me from playing SW is the level grind. I don't really care about levels that much but at the end of the day a level up in anything is somewhat rewarding regardless of what game. For someone like me who likes setting goals and grinding for them skywars just doesn't offer that, 100 stars in bedwars sounds daunting but its like 2-3 hrs per star which feels way easier than a week or two per star. I'm still at a low level in SW so my opinion could just be wrong, but I know at some point getting like 15 xp out of 10000 per level is just going to ruin the fun of the grind.

At this point it doesn't sound like a horrible idea if the admins get a dozen or so people from each group of the skywars playerbase (casual, grinder, lab main etc.) make them sign an NDA or something and be like "This is what we had in mind for an update, what do you think and what do you think we should change or even add?" If they did actually do that I would be so on board

For me, part of not wanting to play is just that there are so few players now. Feels like id be grinding for achievements nobody cares about anymore. Its still fun to play occasionally but grinding just doesnt seem worth
