He definitely isn’t, there were plenty of comments about this over the last year. Shared by many of us who digest a ton of draft content every cycle all year long. Plenty of evaluators saying Ausar is a point guard prospect not just a wing, plenty saying the exact statement that his passing is better than the numbers show but he has always had to not play point bc his brother, the better prospect, was the point guard otherwise Ausar would be. This is FARRRRRRRR from some secret or recent opinion

Maybe I didn’t deep dive into every single analyst but I did watch a good bit for sure. I could be wrong and one person could’ve had a similar opinion. I’m not immune to being wrong and will admit when I miss. Honestly it seems like you’re statement was just to “prove me wrong” like bro it’s not that serious lol

It depends on how you run on your heels/balls of your feet respectively. No matter what, you shouldn’t land abruptly. It’s never not supposed to a land and then momentum roll for the rest of the foot.

It's also how professional track stars run. Heel striking causes your body to slow down. You get the most burst running on your toes. Google "track spikes shoes" and take note of where the spikes are located

As a mavs fan I am super happy with what Lively and especialy Omax showed. Summer league is highly guard favoured competition as there is little cohesion and setup for bigs whioe guards generaly are not all that good of passers and are playing for their contracts chucking up shots. And yet they both performed really well in a way that looks really translatable to the NBA. Omax atracking closeouts (actualy has solid handles) and playing elite on ball defense, being able to draw a foul on nearly every drive, while Lively played great quarterback defense and had some decent finishes on offense. He needs to work on boxing out (improving strenght) and screen setting (already improved with every summer league game), but he will get there. Finnaly some young talent to pair with Luka in Dallas.

I think it's also important to note that Walker re-aggravated the elbow injury he had from the NCAA tournament, and he was hurting during each game. He had surgery the other day to get it fixed and should be fully healthy for training camp. That injury may very well have had a significant impact on his shooting, since it was in his right elbow.

i know bufkin didn't shoot it well but he didn't play as poorly as the numbers or this video suggests. He played very solid defense and showed an ability to pass the ball very well (ASSIST:TO ratio was bad but should/would have averaged WAYYY more assists if players couldd hit shots). yes he didn't shoot the best and needs to cut back on TOs, but I don't think the hawks are even close to regretting the pick yet. The kid showed serious flashes in a role he's not used to (and won't in play this year) and his confidence never wavered once. 19 year old got some SERIOUS upside next to TY and once he fills out he's going to be a textbook fit.
