I honestly think people are just willfully dumb when it comes to this subject 😢. Cabba explained to caulifla/kale that he had to get angry in order to transform. He therefore tried to replicate, what vegeta did to him for caulifla and kale. Since they already had the necessary power level/s cells to transform, it'd be very easy alas trunks/goten to transform into ssj. The "tingly back" feeling is the author talking through the characters to explain the "feeling" of turning ssj. Goku himself when asked by caulifla confirmed that "I guess it is kinda like that". Turning super saiyan is a massive amount of ki that centers in the users back. Channeling a deep sense of rage helps to unleash the ki correctly.

Any negative emotion (grief, self-loathing, hate etc) that leads to anger can/will trigger the transformation. The tingly back feeling is the characters explaining the sensation of turning ssj. It's a massive buildup of ki that centers in the users back. Requiring a degree of anger to unlock.

Theres a huge difference in types of super sayains For example, gokus first transformation in dbz was a super sayain but he pushed it to legendary super sayain and his ki kept rising. Thats how legendary super sayain works. So only dbz goku, and both dbz broly and super broly achieved versions of legendary super sayain.
