Fun story about your EVH picks. Obviously which pick(s) someone uses is personal but I wonder if you would consider doing a more in depth look at different kinds of picks from different manufacturers? It might help those who are looking for some direction without having to buy everything out there just to try it.

D'Andrea USA Logo The First Plastic Pick, EVER! In 1922, D’Andrea USA invented the first guitar pick! Today we are creating picks for many companies seen across the world, have an extensive catalog of custom picks and products ( IT SAYING A LOT THAT this company created the first pic but it says more that sewerwater I mean sweet water doesn't carry some of not all their stuff ?

Curious to watch this. As someone that played bass for ten years, using the same pick, I'm stunned by how particular I am about my picks now that I'm learning guitar. Super important.

My go-to pick for electric is the Edge Pickboy 1.0. It has the right amount of rigidity and texture and is right between a standard pick size and a jazz III.

I'm blanking on the name of them, but a couple years ago you did a video about these japanese picks (I think the name starts with an M) that have a slight rubberized grip to them. I ordered some of those based on your review, and I love those picks, they're great. I also ordered some of the Dava picks and I really like those too.

Those were the Master 8 picks. I bought them because of his review and use them all the time

@@MrBobguitar4 Yes! That's them, Master 8. I like the Jazz XL model, to me they're the perfect size.

I use Dunlop Max-Grip. It's a nylon pick with a molded-in pattern on the surface that stops slipping and rotation. I have them in several thicknesses, but use the 1.0 mm the most.

Neil Young used Herco Flex 50s and his tone on acoustic is arguably the best (subjectively speaking), so you can't go wrong there. The 75s are great too.

I’m 35, and I started playing guitar around age 10, and my teacher showed me Jazz III picks within my first three years of playing guitar, and I’ve used those ever since

I might give those a try. I like the old school tortise shell Fender picks because I like how smooth they are on the strings but I have a hard time keeping them from moving around between my fingers and I have to keep adjusting them while playing, or use a death grip on them which makes me hit the strings harder than I want/need. These might work, thanks for the tip!

I have started using V-Picks there are the best. They are acrylic and when your fingers get warm they actually stick to your fingers. They have a large variety of styles.

Crazy that's my favorite pick as well, I love the grip on it but I've also just started playing the Jazz Flex plus other various Tortex picks.

I used Fender 351's (?) for about 40 years. We bought them by the gross (144 picks), and I had a huge supply. Over the last 10 years or so I moved away from using a pick. Then a friend of mine found a "rubber grip" that stretches over the pick at Amazon, makes it easier to hang on to. So I'm 50/50 now, Fender thin 351 and bare fingers. 8) I'm going to try the Herco though! Thanks Phil!! 8) Happy T-Giving! Peace --gary

I've been using the black Dunlop 1.0 mm nylon picks for 30 years. Now I use the extra sticky ones.

I use dunlop .72 picks, just like the one Billie Joe Armstrong gave me to use on his guitar in 1998, it was green, but it had a custom logo on it. I tried the .88mm because those are green, and they were thicker, i like those too. But on stage, i only play .72

This made me laugh. I use Herco Flex 50s after I got one from a music teacher I had about a decade before I even started playing guitar.

I tried using real metal coins like some famous players like Billy G. and Brian May and Stevie Ray but that’s crazy to control! I tend to gravitate toward thin picks where you can actually feel the strings vibes against the pick and fingers. Most players recommend heavier ones but then why do they make thin ones??! For acoustic only?
