That's fine only these lithium batteries contain a hell of a lot of energy and if they go firm all they turn into one heck of a fire. I think this is okay it's about 30,000 mi these cars have to be driven before they break even regarding the energy penalties of producing the batteries. It's good people want to go green I'm not knocking that but we need to be realistic about how we do it and we need to take into account everything that's involved and that to me is what a lot of people don't take the time to do sorry but details do count.

The data shows that there are less EV fires then ICE fires. As for Lithium and burn temps, Yes there are still a few kinks in the technology. Lithium is not the only game in town. Sodium Ion second generation batteries are showing great promise and are almost fire proof. I also find hydrogen metal hydride /fuel cell technology interesting.
