Where you live certainly matters too. In DFW T-hangars are unicorns and hangar space in general is hard to come by. The pricing reflects it. I was paying $750/mth and constantly being kicked out of hangars because they could make more on larger aircraft. I was reassigned at work last year and took a significant paycut. Had to sell my plane not because of the cost of the plane but because of the hangar. Now I live vicariously through these videos.

I honestly didn’t think about how lucky I was to be 20 minutes from an airport that had respectable hangar prices. They’ve raised them each year but it’s still be affordable. I appreciate all the support Michael

Very well said. I agree with the sentiment. Were there is a will there is a way, but for most experimental is the only affordable option. Certified GA has gotten ridiculously expensive over the last decade or so. You're blessed man, I'm glad you get it, and I'm glad you get to do it and take the time to share it with us. It's also great to have a supportive gal, my wife Heidi is an angel. Our channel wouldn't be without her.

Wouldn’t mind hearing more about your journey to being a Learjet pilot, I’m currently a 29 year old and think it’s time to chase that dream of mine. Currently on the fence on if I wanna be a weekend warrior or attempt the dream of a private jet pilot. Love the videos and series!

Even if you build your own plane, you're looking at 80k and not including getting your license, which can cost up to 15k. You can't own on a "middle class budget" anymore, which really doesn't even exist.

The S-1S I fly was $27k, 17 hours on the engine, ready to go, purchased in 2021. There is a big difference between what people post planes for and what they actually sell for. And I’m working on running a school that doesn’t milk students for every penny. Aviation should be unattainable
@outlawflyer786811 ай бұрын
That's a single seat, experimental which r cheaper. But, a person like me who wants a 2 seater, maybe build my own, maybe not. A 100hp rotax 912is is 27k! New. Just as an example. The day for cheap flying is over. Been over, Electronics are astronomical! Fuel is insane, hanger fees are insane, if you want to fly, don't have a family, live in an rv park or in your hanger, or be a millionaire.

what's the plane you're flying in the video? And how much is annual budget?
