This was my first time attending an F1 event here in Miami [Gardens] third year of hosting at the Hard Rock Stadium! I got to experience views of the tracks from many angles, check out how expensive some of the exclusive clubs are as well as show you the food and drink prices!

As a comparison. I paid $1200 AUD for 3 days of hospitality which means unlimited drinks including alcohol, 3 meals and unlimited snacks per day with a track side seat at the Australian MotoGP. IMO they don't even compare. MotoGP is way more exciting and clearly better value for money. The owners of F1 just bought MotoGP so we'll see how long it lasts...

Looks like the food options are still solid. And I agree, the food was expensive but good. I’m not talking ridiculous expensive like in some other sections. Great video! I'm not really surprised by the prices though. I've been to many F1 races around the globe. Also, the layout of the facility was very informative. What did surprise me is, I'm assuming your a Floridian as I and you kept referencing the heat, that you would wear a black t-shirt and dark ballcap on a hot, sunny day. Lite colors are the way to go. I just came back from a visit to the states. We were at a bar and I guess some folks from Australia didn't tip the bartender. She literally ripped a strip from them. " This is America, you tip," They said they don't do that. Anyways she told her crosshift to not give them good service because they didn't tip. Smh. Me and my friend had an argument later about it. He's like, that's their culture. I'm like, what? That's not culture. You are supporting a business who charges $10 for a beer and pays their employees minimum wage. And somehow it's now my problem to pay even more money. It's not my responsibility to make sure someone makes a living wage. Talk to your cheap ass boss. STOP SUPPORTING TIPPING
@kevinc6763
@kevinc6763 27 күн бұрын
@gretzkyz here is the issue. I travel extensively, world wide. And yes, I understand tipping varies from culture to culture. 2 things about that. When someone travels, they should learn what's acceptable in that culture and abide by it. And 2, most people LOVE to use the excuse of culture for not tipping. It comes down to the simple fact that those that do not tip are cheap. A lot are entitled and just plain...a holes. My friend from Germany said it best, tipping is not normal here but cheap a holes are the norm everywhere. And that is pretty much it.
@gretzkyz
@gretzkyz 27 күн бұрын
@@kevinc6763 I guess my definition of culture is different I guess, lol. I think it's sad that paying people a shit wage became a culture standard in the US, low skill or not. Maybe that's the point I was trying to make.
@kevinc6763
@kevinc6763 27 күн бұрын
@gretzkyz A shit wage? Sure, there are low paying jobs across all societies. To me, personally, I can't fathom asking a bar tender to make and mix half a dozen drinks for my party and not giving him or her a dollar or 2, or it's equivalent....in order to show gratitude to them. Again, cheapness and lack of social awareness are universal traits across all cultures. Says a ton about the content of someone's overall character.
@gretzkyz
@gretzkyz 27 күн бұрын
@@kevinc6763 I don't tip the McDonald's employee when he prepares and gives me all my food. Why should I anywhere else? And stop using a strawman argument about being cheap. This isn't about being cheap. This is about you defending a practice where it allows a business to charge me $30 for a meal while paying their employees a "SHIT WAGE" while the owner gets all the profit. We paid $305 for general admission tickets, had free drinks and food at the Chase Sapphire lounge and watched the race in the AC. 13 bucks per pizza and a few souvenirs for my kid overall wasn’t too bad. I will definitely go back next year with him. Only thing disappointing was they did not let me come in with my canon R5 with 70-200 mm lens. Joel, great video. ALL F1 races are going to be very expensive. Starting with the tickets and everything inside the event. I paid $180 for a McLaren cap in Austin. One big thing I noticed thru your video is that the Miami GP fan experience seems to be MUCH better organized with many more fan options than what we saw in Austin. Looks like you had plenty of food, merchandise booths, tables to take a break, and bathrooms, all of which were in scarce supply in Austin...plus no re-fills on the water. Your F1 event also had that Miami vibe going. It wouldn't surprise me if the Miami GP and/or the Las Vegas GP are the best of all the F1 events.
