If I was to ever live in Japan, I'll try not moving to Tokyo or other major cities. I heard the prices in rural Japan are quite cheaper and manageable with a modest salary. Plus the other benefit of being near nature!

Every Indian in developed countries always try to compare prices and say about how things are expensive in comparison to India, I think most of them do not know why is that and what differentiates a develped country to a developing country/poor country. In India people do not pay enough for to the working class (servants/drivers/cleaners/cooks etc) so that they can buy a house,education for their family, proper food and transport etc. thier minmum wage does not support them to live with dignity. same reason they have to live in illegal housiing/slums. that is why things look cheaper in comparison to any developed country, once worker class also get minimum wage things will get expensive in India too.

Yes, rent is not expensive compared to India like Mumbai and Delhi. I am from Mumbai, people are paying 1 lac for two bedroom even more in some areas . So Japan is nothing .

India mein savings zyaada ho skti hai. Bharat mein tum kam rent aur gande manakn mein bhi reh skte ho, sasta khana bhi kha skte ho aur iska ulta bhi karr skte ho. japan mein aisa nahi hai. Yahan basic necessities ka price bahut zyaada hai. Savings are less compared to india.
