3:00. Greta wasn’t in the Aquila rift. The station she’s in is well outside the galaxy. More than 100,000 light years from earth. It’s called beyond the Aquila rift because humans didn’t use the mass relays much beyond the Aquila rift, but those relays have a very small % chance of a routing error that dumps you to a dumping ground (so to speak) that we see in that episode. It’s even more terrifying realizing that it’s intergalactic space.

A good respectable addition would be the Ceph in the Triangulum galaxy, from Crysis. Probably not as scary as something like Unicron, however considering the destruction they caused in the whole franchise was literally made by the Ceph equivalent of cleaning roombas, they are not a small threat. The games and books go into more detail, they absorb energy, even nuclear, and they learn and adapt, meaning even those cleaning terraforming "peaceful" robots left on Earth can adapt and transform into soldiers, as we see them in Crysis 2 and 3.

Its mentioned multiple times in the games/books that the ring is "near-enough to Reach", which orbits Epsilon Eridani, a real star 10 or so lightyears from Earth. Given that, I'd guess that the ring is no more than 100ly from Earth (likely less than 50)
