honestly i feel like admitting to being a woman in any brawl stars online space is just inviting 13 year olds to be weird towards you and that’s why the situation is that way. i come across fellow girls a lot in the actual game. i’m only hanging around because i need smth to listen in the back. currently i don’t have any other interests and supercell having restrictions on being child friendly makes the big creators’ chat relatively normal

for example genshin understandably is thought to have a lot of “gooner” players but the other girl players aren’t the object of it. (having no pvp might be a part of it) you wouldn’t get this type of reaction in many of genshin stream chats and the content space also has a lot of girls just nerding out. it naturally keeps promoting a positive reinforcement cycle. though i’m expecting that to change in the coming years because it seems like they decided to do a 180 on who they cater to.
