Far cry 5 had garbage AI tho they’d just run over each other constantly. If the AI damage was bad in far cry 5 no one would be able to tell because the bots are so easy to deal with. At least in 4 I have to “train” animals while farming and if I want to go silent it requires a good deal of skill. I use hunting syringes in 4 because the hunters are that much of a problem. Easiest way to deal with it. In 5 I used like 2 syringes because of a mission requirement, no other reason to.

I think what was great about Far Cry 5 having a silent character is that they took advantage of how as a players we are so used to just shooting people without blinking an eye and the antagonists are trying to show us that instead of saving a lot of people, we actually murdered thousands. Sure Eden’s Gate did a lot of things that also were wrong but showing us that we are just as bad as them was cool.

Having us go through the same maze multiple times, making us more and more accustomed to the layout, and by making the timer shorter and shorter each time he sent us there, we try to go through the maze without thinking and just shooting our way to the finish line. And by doing so, he achieved his goal by making us, the player, kill Elly (sorry, forgot how to spell his name) because we knew there is gonna be an enemy around the corner.

In FC 6 you can turn off the health bars and the other HUD elements. If you do the game plays similar to 3 and 5. Yeah enemies with helmets and body armor are more tanky but they should be.

I think the biggest problem with Far Cry 6 is that it tries too many new things at once, like ammo types, clothing items with all these different traits and abilities, the Supremos, and...recoil on turrets...for some stupid reason. The addition of tanks is nice though, I'm glad Far Cry finally has those in its sandbox.

You can find enemies from the outpost you have captured. Not to mention that the map is sometimes quite confusing. The map in this game contains valleys on every road, this is what makes it confusing. Actually Far Cry 2 is a game with a unique weapon detail (although all the weapons are reversed probably due to licensing name issues) When the weapon is overused or too dirty the weapon will jam and even explode. If you throw a molotov and shoot fire at the grass and trees, the grass and trees will catch fire and even the car can explode because of it. People who think the Far Cry series copied Call of Duty is the worst thing I've ever heard Just because it's fps all fps games imitate call of duty lol. It seems like gamers have to differentiate between open world and semi open world games, they are very different.

Personally i havent played farcry 1 or any of it’s variations/side games. I started playing farcry 2 but have yet to finish or revisit it. Farcry 3 - my entry point into the series and favorite. It’s inevitably the game that i compare the rest of the series against. The final mission is more difficult than it needs to be, but the rest of the game is phenomenal. Farcry blood dragon - originally farcry 3 DLC, but later rereleased as a standalone game. This game is corny, gimmicky, and full of bad 80s puns. But i love that about it. All of this and a lot of action combined with a neon aesthetic makes this a worthy entry. Farcry 4 - basically farcry 3 with elephants and slightly improved shooting mechanics. The elephants felt a little shoehorned in but i still liked them nonetheless. The shang ri la segments were good enough to be their own game, the final one being very difficult but also very fun. I loved Pagan Min as a villian and loved the 3 close associates of pagan (de pleur, yuma, and Noore). I also loved the idea of fortresses as basically harder outposts. However i disliked the fact that they left out small details that farcry 3 had. For example in farcry 3 they gave you the names of the plants, but in far cry 4 it’s just “green leaf” or “red leaf”. The gyrocopters were so fickle that i don’t think that their inclusion into the game has helped much. When this game was new i actually didnt mind the repeated tower climbing mechanic, but i began disliking it after everyone else did. But FUCK Amita and Sabal. They were both terrible people and i hated how much of the story was having to choose between the two with ZERO neutral options. Farcry primal - honestly an interesting experiment, but not the most impressive game. I am kind of neutral on this entry. I like the idea of farcry with cavemen but was slightly disappointed that the map was just an overlay of farcry 4’s map. Trials of the blood dragon - havent played, want to play. Far cry 5 - great villians, and even having the tower climbing mechanic present but completely optional (they even make a joke about it in the early game). This game was pretty good but i often encountered eden’s gate soldiers spawning not too far from where i had just taken out other eden’s gate soldiers in the over world. However that’s essentially my only complaint as this game is possibly my 2nd favorite game behind far cry 3. Somehow it manages to depart from farcry 3 in just the right way. Far cry new dawn - havent played, but i understand the premise. The idea of joseph seed being a sort of seudo-ally against the real big bad guy (his son) intrigues me. Farcry 6 - everyone likes the fact that Giancarlo Esposito is the voice of the main villain. Everybody also seems to like the DLC that involves previous villians. But everything else about the game was met with positivity, until recently when i keep hearing “FC 6 bad” all of a sudden. Personally i actually liked the game despite its flaws. The idea of trying to persuade Diego to depart from his father’s ideas interested me prior to owning the game. After playing it i noticed that several small details were added in that i personally liked. I also liked the addition of horses, the makeshift aesthetics of several weapons, and inclusion of animal companions into the game. As for my complaints, lets be honest with ourselves. Viviro is essentially just bliss from farcry 5. Not to mention i’m slightly annoyed by the fact that Yarra sometimes tries to be Rook Island (from farcry 3) but it’s not a deal breaker. Plus obviously seeing more of Anton Castillo would have made the game better, but i believe that Giancarlo Esposito may have been too expensive (just a hypothesis). Overall i think that it’s about as good as farcry 4, but noticeably different.

Tbh it would be great Make enemies significantly tankier and use the whole weakness aspect from fc6 and make it actually work like make it so you can't one shot every enemy with the armor piercing rounds like you can in fc6 Obviously make the npcs better and also make hunting used for upgrades I feel like some sort of base for the player to use (kinda similar to the bases in far cry 6) but you can upgrade them using money and gathered materials (kinda like RD2) Obviously a wide range of weapons with a lot of customizability I feel like that's the biggest thing with far cry is that the weapons should feel powerful not some pea shooter that deals 2 damage per shot If these would be in far cry 7 I feel like it would actually be a good game not like 6

I played far cry 6 without any hud, map, health bars or anything. It improved the game immensely and was very immersive (then I deleted because the game kept crashing and dropping frames after 5 minutes of playtime once I beat the game)

That’s why it’s more fun being able to play solo and immerse into a world and learn to love the story line with all the aspects of call of duty except they did t out the arcade in far cry 6 you can do co op tho for spec ops missions

I want to add a bit of my experience playing the series. Played 3 through 5, and I felt the game changed the most with 5. In 5, I don't feel like I'm playing a Far Cry game anymore. Don't get me wrong, it is a great game, but putting holsters, ammo bags, quivers, etc, tied to perk points killing the survival and hunting vibe older game have. Not needing to hunt animals skin for your character progression just not Far Cry to me, now it only serves as money making which is admittedly still fun. Haven't played 6 and don't think I planned to anyway.
