I was gonna say the same thing, I’ve driven the V6 Bastion a lot and I’ve damaged the oilpan…more than once…to say the least. Even in the most subtle circumstances it would not last very long.

He cannot just use stock configs because the game requires you to mod it in order to remove the oil from any car, it's not an option to just remove the oil pan entirely

I’m pretty sure it’s actually not possible to remove the oil pan in the vehicle config, they would have a slot for a normal and race oil pan but no empty slot.

I have a mod that has the ability fore a empty oil pan but then the engine can run without oil for ever because it also changes the minimum oil mass to negative, I don't know if it is a bug or something

Hold the control key and the orange nodes will pop up all over the vehicle, then you can grab them by clicking and holding them with the left mouse button.

I’m pretty sure you can’t actually do that in the base game. I think the oil pan is a part that has to be on the engine.

The test is misleading. The stambecco would have runned much longer if you didn´t have to turn becouse the rpm dropped so low that it allowed the car to stall, which it does easier when there is so much friction in the engine.

You’re right, the turn around points on the road definitely cut the distance down on some of the vehicles. However, driving on a straight road for a long time can get boring. And the turn around points can also add in a factor of realistic driving, mimicking a curve or intersection on a normal road, where you’d have to slow down. That’s just how I think about it.

Should keep in mind that this game is in its early stages of development. Right now is version 0.31. So basically it isn’t complete. What accurate about it is the cosmetic damage at the moment and the realistic driving feel with a sim wheel.

​@@chrism869correct. You need a mod to run a car without an oilpan in Beamng. There's lots of cool stuff in the advanced engine swap mod (it's not called that but there's the simple version too so... It's the best way i can diferenciate it)
