To answer your question at 25:30, no, pops do not count towards monkey experience, but spending money on a tower does. For example, if I spent 500 on a druid, 500 on a dart, and 500 on a ninja, they would be split 33/33/33.

Yea it splits based on $ spent, except for heroes who have their own leveling system. Another example is if you spend 1000 on a ninja and 100 on a dart the ninja will gain XP at a 10:1 ratio compared to the dart

The amount of money you spend on each tower has nothing to do with the amount of XP that's earned at the end of the round, only how big their share of XP will be. So if you had only one tower up, there are no other towers to share the XP with, which will cause said tower to receive all the XP from that round. Regardless of how much money you spent on that tower.

Love the video! Just a quick note: just because the spirit of the forest stalls the bloons at the beginning of the map, doesn't mean the round goes by faster. It s taking its time to beat them, and prevents other towers to attack them as well

​@Phoenix-kn8uk It takes time for it to work through the layers of a balloon, whereas a sniper can shoot through several layers and let other towers still hit the balloon. Using an ice monkey is the same disadvantage, unless you upgrade into Embrittlement or Super Brittle, no towers with sharp attacks can damage the frozen bloons. Bomb towers and wizards can be used to thaw out the bloons to let them be damaged again, which is slow. A druid is the safer option to not risk leaking balloons, although it would probably be slower. Given the restrictions on certain stages (primary, military, magic only), the routing of which monkeys you have access to is wonky. For instance, to pop camo lead on primary, you need at least a 402 dart monkey, although the hero (Quincy) can pop them at level 7. Military, snipers can pop camo leads if upgraded to at least 110. Quincy can support. Magic, wizard can easily handle it with 022, though it requires help to pop purple balloons cus they stop wall of fire as soon as they make contact with it. I am not sure I could have routed a faster run myself with this in mind.

The bramble crush is just an animation, it doesn't delay at all. I think Psi actually does have a delay on their attacks, but the druid doesn't; if the last balloon gets brambled the round ends instantly.

Okay, so I tried your strat on a brand new account and I got wrecked :/ I wasn't getting as much income as you were (not sure why) but here is what worked for me. I used Tac Shooter right in the middle of that first loop and made it 4-2-0. Then I used another tac shooter temporarily in the other loop and made it 0-2-4 selling it after about round 42 or whenever you can successfully made Necro Mage monkey where you had it in the video. I also made a Sniper for good measure in the back 4-0-2 obviously and it was a clean run! I just used Quincy powers when necessary and got it done. Overall I loved your vid, I thoroughly enjoy these play-throughs and hope to see more in the future!

Awesome video, i'd love to see every single map! But you really gotta try to be fast, if you wanna make it a speedrun. On this run you often just didn't spend money or placed the towers further behind than necessary. You can cramp it all up at the start and it'll work like a charm for every single easy map. I think the reason that they dont make it faster is that the speedup isnt just making the game run but at a faster rate. Its actually changing how the monkeys aim because they have to now throw at a faster target. Trajectories change and making it even faster would make it waayyy harder to calculate the angles for every monkeys on screen. The game already lags late into a long run, that would make it waay worse

To answer your question, monkey exp comes from the rounds. The best way to get it is to play chimps or impoppable on an expert map and then just spam the tower. Once you get to freeplay the xp amount you get from each round is decreased

XP is gained due to how much money you spend on any given tower. So if you placed down 1 sniper and make it a 4 0 2 it would get more XP than 3 Dart Monkies that are 0 3 2. Heroes are ignored in this since their XP works completely different.

for your speedup idea instead of being progressive it could be a regressive button, making it go from 3-2-1 instead of 1-2-3 meaning you can go from 2x to 1x instead of opposite

Its 100% money spent. So if you have $100 worth of dart monkeys and $100 worth of boomer monkeys then the exp will be split between the two. The xp is split proportionally based on the $ spent on each tower type. So what you should do is once you have your defense set up and golden, start spamming money into other towers that need xp. And don't let things that you already have maxed on xp that you don't need for the defense laying around. If you delete the tower, they no longer are included in xp split. Only the money spent on the towers that are still placed on the map. So if you farm bananas early, but want to get other towers xp, sell your farms so they don't take xp away from those other towers.
