With precise movement, it is actually possible to touch the out of bounds grass in Big Blue, and arguably in Toad's Turnpike: In Big Blue, I was able to get to the grass on the cliffside to the right after the second trick ramp in the second lap. To do this, I turned my cart around and used an orange mini turbo + a hop to launch myself to the further side of this cliff, and I was able to touch briefly before lakitu got me. It's a bit less certain in Toad's Turnpike, but during the section with the grassy cliffs there are a few ledges on the right side that peek into the road just enough that you can use one of the glider cars to boost yourself into the ledge, bonking into the ledge for a few frames before lakitu gets you. I was only able to hit the rocky part in my attempts, but I'm pretty sure with more attempts it would be possible. (I also only tried in 150cc, not sure if these would be easier or harder in 200cc)

I knew he was 30 but yeah it makes me feel old too. I’ve been watching him since 2013. I used to watch his Top 10’s on repeat. The Top 10 Hardest Mario Galaxy Stars, Top 15 Hardest Mario 64 Stars, Top 10 Easiest Mario 64 Stars, Top 10 Hardest Mario Kart Tracks (Wii and 64), Top 5 best/worst Mario kart items were always my favorites as a kid. I used to sit on couch late at night watching these videos on KZbin on Safari on my iPhone 4. Good times 😭 I’m glad NB still uploads in 2024 even as a 30 year old. Most KZbinrs quit around this age or in their late 20s, but NB still cares and puts lots of efforts into each video. The quality of his vids are always so great even 10 years later. I can’t say that about most KZbinrs. NB is my favorite KZbinr ever!

I think I learned somewhere that bamboo is a type of grass or at the very least or most is related to grass, so technically if you were to touch the bamboo stalks after the "Ninja Guy Infested Gliding Ramp Area" you would have technically been touching grass.
