What people don't understand is that lightning is only a certain percentage of light over a specific distance because it does not travel straight. Lightning is a bunch of overcharged electrons (photons not electrons), essentially it is light. If lightning traveled in a straight line it would be near if not light speed. If you google the speed of electricity in a copper wire is essentially light speed. So if luck or Enel turns into lightning and travels in a straight path, it is most likely near light speed.

If these physical beings moved that fast then the Black clover world would have to be countless times bigger than earth as they don't travel across battlefields or across the entire world in a fraction of a second. Moreover, they would posess, quite literally, infinite physical strength which would allow them to obliterate continents with literal flicks. Making combat via magical spells redundant. Not to mention how, in order to not be erased by the kinetic force of moving that fast, they would need infinite durability.

We place physical boundaries and apply physics to a world that obviously isn’t governed by the laws of physics as WE know it. True. But honestly most animes and shows don't really understand speed, acceleration, friction, and force at all. Only great examples of relativistic (close to light) speeds done right is in Mushoku Tensei, where Ghislaine did an attack that from her perspective made the light shift in the spectrum, like it would in real life. (Red shift and Blue shift). Also, in Invincible (not an Anime), Nolan went close to light and was able to burn down a planet in minutes as the kinetic energy was able to cause explosions in the air as he went around the planet.

It depends on the meta but unless you take the highest end naruto then asta would speed blitz easily. Most naruto AP comes from debating the size of kaguya's dimension which people scale from planetary to infinite. A low end naruto would be high planetary mid end star-solar system. high-end uni+. But naruto generally barely gets past 1000FTL so asta speedblitzes really hard. Hope this helps

So we can have a number of cases with dumb things being said and there is no way to debate it, as it's just some made up physics. I have some questions regarding the speed meta in Black Clover. First, Why was Asta not able to travel to Clover kingdom from the Land of the sun? I mean he is already 150millionx FTL at the moment right? So either the Earth they are living on is way bigger than the universe itself or his speed is actually not that much. Because yknow during the fight taking place between Asta and lucius, Asta said that his demon slasher wouldn't be able reach Lucius in order to save Sister Lily because it is "SLOW". And the video said the speed of dimension slash in way faster than light. So either his soul magic was fast af or the actual speed is very slow becuz yknow 80% dante and Dorothy were able to dodge it with ease. Either way the scaling you did makes total sense but at the same time, it doesn't, because of these arguments. I would like to know what you guys think about this

What I think what this is that if asta was even a fraction of faster than infinite speed as this dude says. Than asta would quite literally rip through space and time, their earth wouldn’t be able to handle that kind of speed. Even in animes where science is a main plot point they give the wrong answer. In Dr Stone it happens so many times that it's kinda funny. Also Steins Gate is another example. Both this cases are good in some aspects, like how science is taken into account multiple times, but they break it at some point. In Dr stone a couple of examples of big mistakes would be the way they did the magnet and how they froze the dude. In SG most explanations use real physics but give wrong answers. Like how they used a mini black hole as an explanation for the effects of space time bending, but this kind of effect is only expected in supermassive black holes, where the vector of the angular speed is basically straight.

I wouldnt say asta is many times faster than infinite speed but many times faster than a certan amount of infinite speed. For example asta could travel at infinite speed lvl 3 and yami infinite speed travels at lvl 2 and glamour world at lvl 1. The diference being acceleration. So yamis dimension slash acceleration is way faster than glamour world expansion/ acceleration thats why he maneged to cut it and asta is faster than yamis slash/ faster than yamis infinite speed lvl/ acceleration. Another example being how 1 person could have an acceleration of infinite speed but every second he accelerates by 1 meter per second and another can have infinite speed but by 2 meters per second. So the person with infinite speed 2 m/s will always get 2 × faster. Hope u guy get what i mean its a bit tricky to explain

@Br0ku Because the Dimensional Cut didnt show speed qualities, not even the strongest characters in Black Clover shied away from this cut, it cuts reality as if it were a barrier (in other words, it ignores the dimension effect), it cuts space, but it does not overtake time or infinity (after all it doest go through infinity and doest cut its “end”), it simply ignores the effect of infinity (since it cuts space, cutting space is the effect of the sword and its magic, but not speed). For example if you can Warp or broke Reality, you can pass though Infinity or Infinite Dimension ( because every dimension is a part of Reality), but if you punch can broke the Reality, that doesn't make him faster then Infinite speed, it is just effect of your punch ( for example like Deku from MHA, his speed is Infinite because of Reality warping, but Dimension slash its only magic effect ).

The DB fight was completely one sided. They include the deku/Baku feat from the first movie, but not any of his solo ones from the second? He outruns multiple lasers mid fight while protecting Rody - without danger sense - can move fast enough to become a streak of light (that doesn’t keep up with him) ,blitzes and punches flect 6-8 times before he even appears infront of him and creates multiple after images while standing still and punching. In that DB he used the same smash on Asta four times but he’s a tactical fighter who always thinks ahead? Ok… It seems like BC author just uses those phrases for shock value. Like, Lets say he needs to move 10 meter for every attack: (Being generous) at 3*10^8 m/s He can still attack 30 000 000 times a seconds. So, In 5 seconds, He's gonna swing his sword 150 million time. If they move at light speed, But we can still see their attacks in the anime, Then it's like if we were watching a fight at 1/100 000 000 the speed. So, Astas 5 minute in Devil Union would basically last 1 billion episode. Or, look at regular peoples reaction. Like how regular magic knight or the civilian of the kindgom, with their weak ass perception of time had to wait for asta to come kill the Demon. Or, Patry vs Lucious fight. The civilian had time to see the swords, despair, see them go down, see the grimoire, hope, see them disapear... All the while Julius was fighting patry. If these character were anywhere near lightspeed, their fight would start and end in ms. In the blink of an eye, the hundreeds of exchange would have happened... Even if they aren't always moving at top speed, its safe to assume their minimum speed is at least 0.01*top speed. No fighter worth is salt would be always stationary for what would be hours or days in comparaison to the opponent perspective should he try to accelerate his perception. ---- Again power wise, every single time asta jump in base, he should destroy the ground bellow him. Every attack that's dodge should do at least huge city destruction level of collateral damage If asta is planet buster. Even if his destructive capability isn't as high as his attack potency, It's still at least DC > 0.01 AP. Or, Look at the gravity in early Black clover. Calculate how fast they fall. Calculate g force. Then Later on, when asta still can't fly or do some air control (Like when he jump in base form, pre time skip), Look at how long he takes to fall and the distance he travels and the angle he travels... You can calculate his speed if you know g, angle and distance... If he moved at lightspeed, He would just exit the planets orbit in a fight. Every single time he jump, he would go so far foward that he would see the planet curve away from him and eventually, see the planet move away entierely.
