@@zed5129 but yours or mine opinion doesnt matter brother..the hornet 900 best 0-400m stock was 10.9 and official time is 11.1 with 110hp and 65lb at 6.200rpm...check yt what times is a stock mt 09 is doing..11.2 plus..then how the fuck its way faster? trap speed exit of hornet is 120-123 mph

A few decades back a Two Wheels journalist described how he got the best quarter times - he held full throttle and used the clutch to control wheelstand. This was in the days before rev limiters :)

I pulled a 11.1 on my 14 with a flash for the m4 slip on. Now got the Akro and flashed and dynoed to match but haven't tried it out yet. Can't wait to get out there.

NOPE...NO ONE DID IT WITH A STOCK FZ09...i did my homework ..there is no one video of a stock fz09 in all internet doing under 11....the fastest time i saw (up to date i saw them all) i saw was 11.2 11.3....fz-09 cant explode from the line...its too sm style....the first gear will give you the drag times you like...just look the exit speed of even a tuned fz-09 is never more than 120-124 mph....people are brainwashed so easy...THE ONLY BIKE THAT DID UNDER 11 SEC STOCK FROM 2002-2017 FROM 1000CC AND UNDER IS FZ01.ALL OTHER NEW BIKES LIKE MT10 OR S1000R OR KTM 1290R ARE NOT IN THE SAME LEVEL AS OUR BIKES.

I have personally seen people run 10.8's on standard bikes, I have run an 11 flat as well with a 125mph trap speed. Paul de Roo (that's his KZbin handle) ran a 10.8 stock before putting his turbo onto his bike, unfortunately he only has his turbo vids uploaded. Adding the exhaust reduces bhp because of the air to fuel ratio it needs flashing aswell

James Shedd not quite - the model with the saddle bags and screen is the MT09 Tracer. Mine's a normal MT09 which I've added a few touring bits to. I did it that way so I could take them off when not in use

Here is the issue he should be running in A mode, but for it to be effective you need a retune. In turn better throttle response and more predictable so lower time.

What's your 60ft time? Keep practicing your launch and you'll get a better time. The other day i ran 3 passes in the high 10s, best being 10.95s at 126 mph. I think I can get to 10.8 or 10.7

2017 comes factory standard with a quickshifter? Is this Aussie-only or MT-only? I have a 2017 FZ and it does not have a quickshifter... However, the Yammy quickshifter sold for it is "plug-and-play"

wheelie is the problem in most 1st gear acceleration. that is you need to train a lot where to sit to minimized the wheelie and know what to do with clutch and gas to get the best start. that take time to practice and learn. ( but who care,,, LOL) nice game though)

You have to have your revs up before you start. You are bogging the engine and killing a full half second. If you wish to get it in the tens you must practice the take offs.

Well done mate. How many runs are you permitted? Anything under 12sec is crazy quick compared to street cars. Most V8's and turbos just crack 13s.

thanks mate. once you've paid your entry fee you get as many runs as you can squeeze in before they close at 10pm. I left after 6 runs because I've got a 45min ride home but plenty of people stay longer and get 8-10 runs...

Bro just do the ECU flash and remove the baffle from the akrapovic system ( +5hp gain) ..and u will be in the mid 10 1/4 mile ... you will give that b-king run for its money

I'm sure you're a better ride now, but if you learn how to wheelie, you won't chop the throttle when you're front wheel comes up in 1st, and 2nd gear... my 2016 powers up in 2nd when I open the throttle. I wheelie a lot, so that's when reduce my throttle a little bit until I can grab the next gear

How have you gone on the bike so far without a steering damper? Any issues with tabk slappers or steering wobble?

no issues so far. Of course the steering gets light if you accelerate hard out of a corner but you just manage it. I think people like to exaggerate. But then again, I don't do wheelies at 100mph. Maybe if you do that a lot a steering dampener is good insurance ;)

Just lean forward a bit I would get those all the time until I loosened up a bit (handlebar grip) and leaned up a bit. I've hit 130 no issues.

The fz power band is actually in the mid TO high range. Tacking it or coming 1000 rpm's from tacking it out, is actually hurting your time. The power and torque curve of that motor is just above the middle of the tack gauge.

I've got an xsr900 and it pulls way harder in A mode. I'm not sure why you didn't at least try it. The fact that you didn't get close to a high 10 should have been an indication I would think. I know it'll wheelie, but you should have at least tried it. You might have lost half a second, who knows

Factory quickshifter ? Here in Canada our FZ-09 doesn't come with factory QS :( It is QS ready which means the wires are there, waiting for the QS to be plugged in
