the grand finale of IEM Sydney have concluded, with FAZE being the first ever CS2 champions and Rain the MVP.
But it was not all sunshine when FAZE and Complexity meet on Ancient and today i want to breakdown how FaZe almost threw a free win in the grand finale.

Love the content. Please keep making them. Little suggestion. The incendiary from the top down is way smaller than the area affected. With those overhead static shots, maybe key in a translucent overlay of the affected area. Ex. 9:31 Faze is blocked out of alley from long, but the fire doesn't really show that.

Commenting both to say that this is criminally under viewed and to give some feedback. Sometimes you would skip forward in the game past things like overtime or half switches, which lead to me getting a little lost for a few seconds. Also I believe on the first T round you show of Faze, you say something like “Faze are done giving up bottom mid control” which is confusing because they weren’t giving it up on the CT rounds we were just shown. Adding in title cards and little lines like “after choking all the way to OT” or “this is the first T round we’re gonna look at” could go a long way to help pacing and the overall narrative of the video. Great work man :)

Love these vids - and I haven't played CS in years! One suggestion/piece of feedback. When you cut between rounds, there's a moment of confusion where I'm not sure what the score is, and I'm left peeking at the scoreboard trying to catch up which is a little annoying as it's not on screen most of the time during cutaways and spectator-cam shots. It might be easier if you were just put the score of the road we're going into on the transition slides.

Complexity were using coordinated pushes w flash assist and double swings, good spacing and trading, and great restraint in holding utility as well as in retakes, should do a video highlighting how 4 ragtag players with Elige could bring such a fierce cohesion against G2 and FaZe it would help lower tier achieve greater output.

How faze won? Complexity threw several T rounds where they found the opener. Complexity were in control this match and were the better team. Just a few mistakes you could chalk up to pressure and inexperience ultimately costed them. I’d love to see a break down from coL perspective. Great run from them but I feel they were a few silly mistakes from winning this, even on nuke.

Idk man. Faze for 90% of tournaments look down right terrible until they fluke into a win when rain can hit a few entries and ropz can then bait 2 or 3 0 impact frags in rounds they were already going to win.

If they are smart, they will disband FaZe and sell off the players because the players are worth more than the COL players. Multiple reports have come out that even prior to the grand final in Sydney, Twistzz had been sold to Liquid. It is likely that the rest will follow.
