Just be careful and take good care always... eg vona ao pu sert vel ao gaeta pess ao gaeta alltaf....

LEISHMANIASIS is a parasitic disease similar to malaria. mosquitoes are vectors / carriers of malaria, while sandflies are vectors / carriers of leishmaniasis. dengue from mosquitoes is a viral (virus) disease, not parasitic. other examples of parasitic diseases include schistosomiasis (from snails) & elephantiasis (from mosquitoes) viral diseases include influenza (flu), swine flu, bird's flu, mumps, herpes, human papilloma, chicken pox, small pox, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, ebola, measles, rabies, etc. bacterial diseases include tuberculosis, pneumonia, tetanus, typhoid fever, syphilis, diphtheria, leprosy, food-borne disease, etc. some bacterial & viral illnesses are "self-limiting", meaning: it "resolves without definitive intervention" or "it runs its course." it's that your immune system will win out in the end and fight it off, but in the meantime, there's no medication that will treat the infection itself although you can try to treat some of the symptoms like pain (by using painreliever) or body heat (by using antipyretic), etc. parasitic diseases like leishmaniasis, however, are generally not "self-limiting". you really need to "fight it off" with some anti-parasitic medications. they can multiply in numbers if untreated. that's why you should be "religious" enough in taking the meds, meaning: "without skipping". duration for the medication can run for months, depending on the severity and response to the treatment
@nzsl3686 жыл бұрын
note: palawan is probably the only place in the philippines with high number of malarial cases. dengue is common nationwide, especially in urban areas. leishmaniasis is prevalent in areas near the beach (where sandflies thrive). schistosomiasis (fluke) is likewise prevalent nationwide, especially where there are rice paddies & water systems. elephantiasis is prevalent mostly in bicol areas (but there are also cases in the eastern region of visayas & eastern mindanao). these are some of the common tropical diseases in the philippines btw, co-amoxiclav is an antibiotic containing amoxicillin (penicillin) & clavulanic acid (to stop the chemical produced by the bacteria from working, this allows the amoxicillin to kill the bacteria). it is not an anti-parasitic drug the indiscriminate use of antibiotics /antibacterial drugs lead to the development of "drug-resistant bacteria". it is wise & advisable to follow doctor's recommendations (prescribed numbers of antibiotics per day, as well as, the duration (length of time) of the treatment) to prevent "drug-resistance" in the philippines, almost all antibiotics / antibacterial drugs nowadays are "Rx drugs," meaning: pharmacist will not dispense them without doctor's prescription. it is due to the "drug resistance" problem worldwide
@nzsl3686 жыл бұрын
finally, it is important to cover the wound with a water-resistant bandage & gauge when taking a shower to avoid seeping into the wound. most water (except distilled ones) are not bacteria-free. water can complicate or prolong wound healing. if unavoidable, you can use a small towel, dip it in lukewarm water w/ drops of alcohol / menthol & gently rub it in the affected area use mosquito-repellant (with DEET) like off lotion sparingly, as it can be harmful to the skin in the long run. use them only in places where mosquitoes are incalculable. there are "mosquito zappers" available in sm or ayala hardwares for Php 500. i turn it on every 5PM to 9PM (never overnight) just to zap or kill bugs / insects. it emits violet light (magnetic to bugs) then voila, kill the unwitting bugs with a big bang! hehe

Hello Finn. You said in you’re video you found the happiness you had been searching for all your life. I had the same experience. I was in a very dark place in my life. I told God if it was his will for me to be alone I could accept that but asked him to show me how to be happy again. He lead me to the Philippines. There I meet the wonderful woman who became my wife and with her I found more joy and happiness than I ever imagined possible. I love the islands and the wonderful people of the Philippines.

We have a very similar story it sounds, at least in this regard... I'm in the Philippines now to marry an AMAZING filipina myself. She is wonderful and so is her family that has been SOOOOOOOO welcoming to me. Something I was absolutely not looking for and was totally not in my life plans, but God knew what was best for me and lead me literally to the other side of the world to find a couple years ago, and I couldn't be more happy... Take care and best of wishes to you and your family.

I live here in the UK. First world they say. Quiet, no traffic, less pollution. But i never feel safe. Weird I know. For instance, I can’t or no one in here will allow their child (elementary/primary school age) to go outside by themselves and go to the playground alone unless accompanied by an adult. You can’t just take pictures anywhere they always worried of something. Also no parents would just trust you with their child even though their child and your child are classmates since early yrs. Everything doesn’t feel right. Everyone is so uptight. People occassionally smile but no warmth. I realised Philippines is a developing country but we never loose that hospitality, true care and friendliness. Just give one Filipino one warm smile and they will go extra mile for you. Crowded, polluted, noisey but you will feel at ease and relax.

it depends which part of the uk you live in, if its london then u r not safe, same in some parts of manila, but a bit further from london is fine, i live in west sussex near gatwick airport, and i feel safer here than my home in manila, i miss the philippines too, someday im going back for good but not in manila, maybe batangas or ilocos

To correct some of other information from ph, just don't go to Manila cause it's just too crowded tendencies r pollution snatching accidents n others but don't be skeptic ask real n kind people they will guide u. travel other places I recommend luzon,visayas anywhere specially provinces there r a lot of cultures here and languages seriously n their hospitality is absolute crazy like touring without paying any fees just be humble and be kind n they will do the same to you. Trust me whenever u go you always feels like home. That's also the downside cause they always feel like home kareoke everywhere (some parts) when they drunk they don't clean their dirt n now the owner gets angry then fighting against each other but hey it's also the fun part.

The Filipino hospitality is insane! I absolutely LOVE that about this place. Soooooooooooo much different than my home in the U.S.. I live in small town USA and was a wonderful place to grow up, but very different also. I'm currently in the Philippines my 2nd time and there are some things that drive me crazy, like the Filipino time and no sense of urgency in anything. BUT, at the same time, it's something I love about the place also. It's hard to explain... I apparently got into poison ivy the day I left the U.S and my arm is covered when I arrived here. They saw me in the clinic and perscibed me meds at absolutely no cost at all, just the cost of the meds. You'd NEVER get that in the U.S., at least not being a person that has to pay your own way/not a person living off the government. That's a whoooooole other problem though...haha Finding a happy medium between the U.S. government and the Philippine government would make for a perfect balance in my opinion. Well, enough political talk...😲 I do look forward to eventually living here with my (soon to be) filipina wife, but need to make some more money in the U.S. before we can take it easy here. Enjoy your life in the Philippines man! I wish I would have found my way here a decade or two sooner...haha Ingat my friend!

Hope you feel better soon Finn. Take care of yourself and maybe seek out for a specialist to be sure what type of bites you have? I guess its always good to have second or third opinion. Have a safe journey and enjoy the Philippines.

Hello my new friend. I really enjoy your videos. I visited the Philippines last year and absolutely fell in love with this country. I'm coming back in August to make preparations to live there. Keep up the good work you are doing and I hope your hand heels quickly. God Bless!
