Yes, arabs were also here in the philippines spreading about religion. And they first came to tawi-tawi which is the last island in the philippines located at the most bottom part. And there, they build the first mosque in the philippines called "sheik makdum" in honour of the founder. Fun fact, tawi tawi has a one large mountain. And when you go up to that mountain you will see the whole land of tawi-tawi. And aside from that you can also see the Malaysian mountains from the horizon :) Proud tawi-tawian here

She's actually right. Arab missionaries such as Sheikh Karimul Makhdum first came here to Tawi-Tawi, Philippines specifically in the Municipality of Simunul to spread about the Islam religion. It was one of the reasons why Tawi-Tawi is now known to be the "Cradle of Islam" here in the Philippines. The mosque that he built, named after him, is the first mosque in the Philippines and is famous and sacred especially for the Tawi-Tawians. -Proud Tawi-Tawian here!

Everytime I study about Philippine history, it always give me goosebumps like just reading a great fantasy book 😅 but its the real thing. As a Filipino I am very proud of this story. I do practice and celebrate most of the Jewish Holidays. I was Catholic and studied to become a priest. But I also believe it is my birthright to respect and celebrate Jewish Holidays. I celebrate Shabbat every weekend. During this Passover I made my own Matzos because at the time I was keeping away from groceries. I even made my own Matzos ball soup from scratch. Anyway I am very proud of this history of my country.

Being kind and considerate to another human being is second nature to most Filipinos. I remember as a child when my mother would send me to next door neighbor because she ran out of garlic. Or if the flat iron is broken, little things that count. They always give it with a smile. Our neighbors would not hesitate to ask favors either. These things are unheard of in America.

During WW2, Philippines is still under the American rulings but only as a commonwealth transitioning to independence. Then WW2 came and Americans is one of the countries joined last, Americans fought against the Germans and awarr of Jewish diaspora. This awareness of course was passed to the Filipinos and since we are part of the UN as well ...Pres. Quezon made the invite to all Jews...storyline iz somewhere along there. There's a documentary about it in details showcasing the Jews fleeing and coming to the Philippines. :)

You don't have to react to the whole film, just the trailers, if you can. It'll show who Quezon's contacts were. The film is about how Quezon, Dwight Eisenhower and other people helped the Jewish people. It's such a great film. Here are two of the trailers for Quezon's Game. It has english subtitles and the other one is english: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bam8cp9jodeZhJo kzbin.info/www/bejne/joW6dJeFh76jetU

The Philippines voted in favor of UN Resolution 181 recommending the partition of Palestine and the establishment of a Jewish State in 1947. The Philippines was among the 33 countries who supported the establishment of Israel and the only Asian country who voted for the resolution.[2] Israel and the Philippines established full diplomatic relationships in 1957.[3][4] Embassies were opened in Tel-Aviv and Manila in 1962. In 1997, the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) institutionalizing the bilateral political dialogue between the respective foreign ministries. For additional info

But he is also the reason why there is a rift between Palestinian and Israeli.. Thwy say the white Jewish who call themselves are jews are NOT THE TRUE JEWISH PEOPLE. THEY ONLY MIGRATED THERE BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO PLACE TO LIVE. AND THE REAL JEWS ARE NOT WHITE EUROPEANS, THEY ARE FROM JAPHAITES AND NOT FROM SHEMITES . ITS AFRICAN JEWS...THE TRUE HEBREW!!!

The Philippines was the deciding vote that created the nation of Israel. The Philippines was the vote the broke the tie at the League of Nations paving the way for the creation of Israel. That is so glossed over by so many in history, not giving any credit to the Philippines.

Actually you don't have to mention every good deeds you do to others because if you only want to be recognized then your help is not genuine. The important thing is that Israel is now a nation and free coz that's all we want. Peace.✌️😊
