I love airports 😂 when I was a kid in the 90s my mom would drop me off at the airport and I would spend the day taking pictures. This was before 9/11 so it was much easier. I even worked in airfield management in the air force 😂

I love the factory tours!! Orvis replaced a tip on my super fine 2wt, couldn’t tell the difference from the original tip on that delicate stick!!!

So cool. I just bought a Winston Air 2 and loved that video. Would be really cool to see all the major US brands places that are making stuff in the US.

Thanks Cheech and Curtis. I really enjoyed the video. I have several Orvis Rods but not a Helius but after seeing this I may have to consider one, and sell off my off brand models, even though I am not a big fan of the white label.. lol Thanks again and enjoy the videos and the store. Tight Lines

Have had my Helios 3D for over 2 years now and have caught a lot of trout on it. Orvis surpassed my expectations with that rod 🎣🐟

Could I have the broken one and then file a warranty claim? Seriously, it was cool to see how a quality rod is made. You guys should follow up with a tour of an "over seas" rod factory.
@GeorgeSemel2 жыл бұрын
What I see here is that there is a hell of a lot of work that goes into making a fly rod. I never considered the Orvis Helios because of that god-awful white sticker. I just have to rethink that. Tom is not a big guy, my guess is his family tree comes from the East of Poland. I am not a big guy either and I am taller than the legend. I interviewed for a Job with him, I thought it when well, never heard another word, no matter a week and a half later got an offer to go up to Alaska to fly so it all worked out. I guessed when I said that the Scott G2 8' 2wt was a better rod than the Orvis 7'9" 2wt may have had some effect on it. No matter, I got a decade of steady year-long flying out of it, then I when seasonal till I retired last year. Given a choice, I still think I would rather go fish with Curtis but that is another issue.

Depends on lots of things. Most rod companies go through similar struggles.
@scottthompson27852 жыл бұрын
they have a new replacement program where you don't have to send your full rod back and wait months. I broke my H3 tip section last month and had a new tip 3 days later!

@barry4fish19 Жыл бұрын
I did, I own 5 different models and yes I do like them - I can live with the white label, BUT I cannot tolerate the fact that Orvis no longer makes a fly rod with a hook keeper. Pretty sad, lots of us would have paid extra for that.

that god damn white label is terrible. and its gonna be on the H4 as well. Orvis is really pigeon holing themselves with that graphic.
@FlyFishFood11 ай бұрын
Ha ha. So it’s called the H4? You sure? They seem to sell super well but a minority don’t like the white.
