The characters are way different, but the story is pretty similar. Yet, this specific fan variation is arguably influencing the internet way more than Baldi ever did and maybe this year's fandom that is difficult to escape opposed to any other indie video game.

I think the reason why FPE got popular was it was uploaded in the same month as Baldi's Basics (Tho 30 days earlier), and it manages to bring 2018 nostalgia back 6 years later, and Kaaatie is pretty talented in her animations in general I still don't know why it got a fandom in the first place

Fundamental Paper Education has that specific vibe to it, the art style is very intriguing, albeit in an interesting way that gets you invested, because prior to watching it I personally hadn't seen anything like it, so it was a breath of fresh air. I anticipate more to come from it.

i think you kinda misunderstood the concept of bald's basics when you talked about it at 4:11 The original game is a parody of cheap horror games, but the dev is also making Baldi's Basics + which is less of a horror game (at the moment at least) but more of an active stealth roguelike that parodies cheap '90s edutainment, in 2022 they also released Baldi's basics classic remastered including 3 styles, them being classic style, party style, and demo style, in each of these game modes there are secret endings where you encounter Null, a parody of those self aware horror game characters like Monika from ddlc. Anyway you should probably check out classic remastered since its free on steam.
