9:41. Let me correct you here. The scrapped concepts that were leaked in 2017 were very, *very* different from how G4 was a "reboot" of G3. I cringe when people call G4 a reboot of G3. It's only a reboot in the loosest sense. A lot of the characters are actually from G1, and the G3 characters that did make it through had totally different personalities. G4 is a less a reboot of G3 and more a mash of G1 concepts, G3 character designs, and Lauren Faust's original ideas. In short, while it does make homage to previous generations, it is basically new and a fresh start for the franchise. The 2017 leaks were pretty much the antithesis of that. All six main characters were coming through, most of them unscathed. Fluttershy with a horn is still Fluttershy. The only one who really changed was Applejack, and fans were upset about that. The 2017 reboot plans were a much more one-to-one reboot of G4 rather than a mash of homage and original ideas. Regardless of how successful you think that might have been (I think it would have been a flop), it's not the same as previous generations like G4 and G3 that were much softer "reboots."

Disney is not a good model. Disney's direct control leads to "executive meddling. Some of Disney's best movies - The Lion King and Lilo and Stitch - were "B" team movies - they were filler before Pocahontas and Treasure Planet respectively, and they were great because they largely escaped executive meddling because the executives were too busy meddling with Pocahontas and Treasure Planet, which Disney "planned" to be the major hits. And the reward Lilo and Stitch's directors and writers (Sanders and DeBlois) received was to be fired. (Not to worry, they went to Dreamworks to make How To Train Your Dragon). Disney has a track record of firing or pushing people out, only for them to come back to challenge Disney (Lesseter and Bluth, to name two more). Time and time again, the formula for creating great animation is to find great writers and directors, and leave them along to create their art. That's how G4 was created - they handed creative control to Faust who was talented and passionate about the brand. But I think expanding into media was the right move - toys have been a shrinking market for over a decade, and kids are spending more time watching "screens". Hasbro had to expand out of toys in order to grow, and expanding into the growing media market was a necessity. And now Hasbro is retracting into the shrinking toy market? That will not end well.

I am glad that you made this video, to let all of the fans know what happened with Hasbro. How they lost so much money, so fast, because of Chris Cocks, that they could not afford production on the season anymore, and that this all happened because of his stupidity, and incompetence. They had all of the money that they needed for this season last year, when they greenlit it, but he caused them to lose it all so quickly. We all were so looking forward to so much from this season, as it had so much potential to be such a great season, and it was at first. They even foreshadowed for so much to happen, that we all wanted to see happen, and now, we all won't get to see any of it at all because of him. The team wanted to make it all happen, and the actors were all so looking forward to voicing the characters for this season, and we, the fans, all wanted to see it all happen. But, because of what he did, we all had to pay the price for this, and we can never forgive him for this. We all hate Chris Cocks so much with all of our souls. How often do you hear about a company having to abruptly end production on one of its most successful shows, right after a new season begins, due to the company losing so much money, so fast, due to its CEO making really bad decisions, and can't do their own job right, showing us all just how incompetent that they are, and not being able to afford working on its production anymore for that reason? I have never seen that happen before, and I am sure that a lot of people have not either. Seriously, Hasbro needs a new CEO for sure, 100%. We can all agree on that. Chris Cocks is ruining everything for MLP, and also for Hasbro themselves, along with all of their other brands. He now wants to change how the company works going forward. He needs to go ASAP.

To be honest I was expecting the continued series of MLP: Make Your Mark with Allura replacing Opaline as the next villian along with Twitch as they went through the portal to Equestria while intending to recover the star and get revenge on Sunny and her friends. I was more curious to know who is the voice that spoke Allura who revealed to be her brother but it looks like we'll never another series as the writers decided to leave this episode finale as a cliffhangers. I also was hoping in MLP: Tell Your Tale season two will continued until it gets to 70 episodes just like the first season because in "The Lone Alicorn" I assume that Sunny and her friends were going to try to find any Alicorn exist just as the Sunny as well as Allura's brother won't make his appearence in MLP: Make Your Mark at all but still hope that he will especially that he did make an appearence in Allura's backstory when they were cubs. However I did hear from someone that on the 17th October that there will one final episode of MLP: Tell Your Tale Season two before this series going to end forever just like MLP: Make Your Mark. I've very disappointed of the news because I would like to see the Ponies learn the truth about Allura and decided to help her get back home to reunited with her brother unfortunately might not happen at all which is a biggest disappointment because I really hate cliffhangers.

Thing is, the G5 Movie wasn't even that original to begin with. It was a story that was already told much better and with a more interesting premise a whole decade ago, a story that much like G5 was an entire story spawned out of Celestia rolling the dice and giving Equestria over to another Princess whose only recent accomplishment at that time was being the principal of a School, a decision which wound up spiraling so far out of control that Equestria was completely destroyed within a few short years if not less than a decade and Ponykind becoming more divided than ever before. The only thing is that unlike with _MYM_ where Sunny Starscout and friends vandalize another persons' business and laughs at the owner for claiming their family still owns the building before going Communist and saying "No way! It Belongs to all of us!" as she and her friends (including the towns' sheriff) laughs with Sunny: _Fallout Equestria_ actually has well-rounded complex characters with goals and wants that they have to struggle with making choices on what would be seen as the lesser of two evils: where the main characters constantly run the gamut on what is or isn't the right choice to even make in a particular situation. "Should I help my friend to save this fathers' life in order to prevent his kids from getting evicted from this Hotel at the risk of us getting kicked out of one of the safest places in the Wasteland, or should I stop her so that way she can get the safest surefire chance at Drug Rehab and not get taken away from her girlfriend who also lives in this Hotel?"

I've never heard androgynous pronounced that way! Regardless, no, I had several friends also speculate Zipp was sort of non-binary. And I also see it. She's soft butch at least. And the fact that the show respected that and gave her a more tuxedo-design outfit when it was time to put dresses on the other mares was really sweet. They didn't use any other pronouns for her besides she/her, but not every non-binary person does and it's also believable the world of ANG just doesn't have any of the language for Zipp to describe herself that way.

Its a case of too many cooks spoil the broth and just over all gives an unmistakable feeling of the fact that g5 was never going to happen, considering everything that has happened. I just hope that they don't mess up g6, all they need to do is create an over arching story for the whole generation that adds to what G4 established that makes sense, each series and the episodes in it that lead to the series and ultimately the generations conclusion all need to make sense, so that it doesn't make the egregious errors to the established lore like g5 clearly did. Add to G4's established lore DON'T take away from it. Take away the stupid emoji's, smart phones and selfie sticks as they just DON'T make any sense, as trying to as the saying goes "get down with the kids" is cringe. Have the cutie marks on BOTH flanks as that makes the most sense. Keep G4's art style as too much realism with their features just makes them hideous plastic ponies and the overemphasis of the hooves among things just makes g5's "art style" look atrocious and the style of animation needs to remain 2D as CGI is NOT MLP's friend and finally create unique personalities for the mane cast of ponies instead of taking the Mane 6's personalities from FIM and just cramming them into fewer ponies. Make the stories deep and the songs unique, upbeat and memorable like in FIM, don't alienate the older fans as they are the ones with the money to spend whereas kids don't.

wow, i didn't know any of this, so here's my story, at the end of G4 i was doing a mlp crossover fanfic, the timing of which was just about perfect as the show was ending my fanfic was also coming to a close, i expressed how i wanted to continue to use the characters of G4 as i didn't think i'd move on with the show or the fandom, there was perhaps a reason to move on after i hear that, instead of being a reboot, G5 would be a continuation, for a while however i still stayed away, that didn't stop me from seeing fanart though, that got me thinking, why was modern fanart of MLP still using G4 FIM charaters, this didn't happen with pokemon, palworld or FNAF, what's going on i wondered, for the past week or so i've been having a MLP renaissance, i've seen how people are still talking, making art, music and fanfics, seen the works of Scribbler, Lost and Magpie, all about G4, it's almost as if the show it self is still going, yet only the presence on the internet has lessened not entierly diminished. i've barely seen any G5 stuff ever since that last episode of G4 or even my fanfic, i thought it would take over like G4 did and it would be a huge phemonenon, i mean come on, even TF2 referenced MLP, just look up the Magical Mercenary, so it's sad the CEO died when going in on a bet like that, i kind of feel like he was undermined, yet putting your entire company on the line just for one cartoon is pretty risky, yet because of how good G4 was... is still perhaps, i think if he could play it right we'd be in a different situation, G5 would have been huge to carry on Twilight's legacy. i think what they need to do know is do a Doctor Who, like Rustle T Davis, Lauren Faust is the best writer MLP had, if they can get her back to do a G6 they'd at lest be off to a good start, but it would have to be a reboot, now i have seen some of the leaks where they combine G4 and 5, but i'm uncertain if ther are going down that route or it was just from concepts, if i were them i'd pitch a reboot to G5 and if that didn't work try again with G4, maybe they could pull the time line back a little. first off would be to forget opaline all together, she might have been heartless to Misty but other then that she's no threat, Cosy Glow was worse, i think we need to start with Twilight and Spike again but this time she's our Celestia, she's carrying on the tradition of training young fillies and colts to become the next ruler of Equestria, Luster Dawn of course being her pick, we follow Luster as she struggles in her own way to live up to the challange and expectation Twilight set's up for her, she meets and befriends not just other ponies but the creatures of Equestria and beyond as they use their traits and talents to solve untold mystories.

I'm going to be honest I've only checked out the movie for generation 5. I thought it was really good. My problem is that it relied too much on nostalgia for generation 4 instead of just trying to do it's own thing

G5 sucks.... and it hurts to see a lot of G5 fans... but it is what it is and we think G6 might get worse.
