Why the unnecessary back door, isn’t it easier for front load and you don’t have to worry about stuff falling out from the back because gravity is on your side with top load?

Unsure, probably just as a convenience for small garbage cans that can’t be grabbed with the arm because you don’t want to manually haul a garbage can all the way up to that top compactor hatch but that’s just my guess
