UDID is actually not collected when the game is opened. It is only collected when a user does something write-related on the server, such as updating stats, uploading levels, and making comments.

It is saved into the save file on first launch and this is the step that had to break to get this effect

Hackers today are cheating levels for clout on the demonlist. Hackers back then...... "Ehhhh, I'll just fuck around." Yeah, I get that part of the hacker's motive was to call Robtop out on poor server side security, but other than that the hacker just screwed around and not much else. This is one of those scandals that you can look back on and have a good chuckle at the rather odd behavior of a hacker. Because other than trying to point out a security issue, it was pointless. Yeah hacking scandals like this are damaging no doubt, but it's always fun to look back on these things

Oh that's interesting, I never knew that a UDID Is random. Propably the funny part, well for me at least, is one of the levels having a *penis* which is strange but funny for me for some reason. I also was 4 or 3 when this happened so I wasn't playing the game at that time but started playing in early 2.1 so 2017 when I was 6 or 7, I'm 12 now And knowing all of this makes me wonder, Was Robtop really that bad with server security?

rob's security only really started taking off in 2.0, before then there was basically no authentication and even in 1.9 you could basically log into anyone's account if you knew how (do note that these exploits have been patched on the 1.9 gdps if you want to try them there lol)
