From lust to love. From selfishness to sacrifice. From brokenness to hope. This is my testimony of how God used a broken marriage to sanctify me and send me out as a missionary to Japan.

@Tanzeel. U R. Rehman No. Because if we look at Scripture. In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus Christ is the Word and is God. Also it says that all things were made through Him and for Him. So basically everything on this plannet was made for Jesus Christ. Now I still need to grow up and read the Bible more diligently but this is the best of my answer to you. May the True Glory and Honour go to the True Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Thank you for obeying the calling of God to serve as a missionary to Japan. We have prayed for the Lord to bring workers into this harvest field. We had an exchange student from Japan living with us, and her family was so open to the gospel, and we brought them to church as they have never stepped into one. Our daughter is teaching ESL in S. Korea and hopefully one day she can go to Japan. May the Lord provide for you and your ministry.

I feel like I also have this calling I had a similar upbringing, and I wanted to go to Japan since the moment I knew it exsisted. my pastor and his wife were also missionaries in Japan. In fourth grade I started going to a private Christian school, with my pastor's wife as my teacher. Instead of Bible class on Mondays, she taught us Japanese (because we already had Chapel on Mondays) I never really saw myself as wanting to be a missionary. In seventh grade at the same school, we had to write a book report. We had a small selection to choose from. They were all by Janet and Geoff Benge (they write amazing biographies of missionaries) I didn't think much of it and grabbed a random one. While reading it, I realized that this is what I want to do. It took a long time of praying to figure out where. Then, I heard a whisper in my ear, it said Japan. I was alone in my room, trying to put all the pieces together. It's a few months later, I have almost all hiragana memorized, and just wrote my first kanji

Being a missionary is a great responsibility! A missionary must have great energy, fortitude, and courage. Wherever the missionary goes, no matter what part of the world he is in, he must spread the Word. Locals must understand what the missionary is telling them. The missionary must get the Word right! Therefore, every missionary must know the language of the local people! To everyone who is on a mission or preparing for one, I would like to recommend a very good workshop written by Yury Ivantsiv Polyglot Notes: Practical tips for learning foreign language. This wonderful book will give you answers how to properly learn a foreign language with a minimum of your time and effort. This book provides answers to many of the questions that everyone faces when learning a language. I wish you good luck in your important work!

WOW..... just WOW !!! What a Great Testimony!!! God is really moving through you, Tim!! The Lord sealed me with His Spirit in 1979 and I've gotten involved in alot of bad Bible teaching and carnality at the same time being in different ministries. However I really didn't know the True Gospel and God did not fully reveal it to me during that time. (I discovered american-churchianity is about getting things for self and has very little to do with surrendering self totally to God). I went to China in 2008 to teach English at a University but underneath it all, I was on a mission trip!!! Chinese students are respectful beyond words and the Chinese people in humble settings will always smile and find a way to be positive ---- even without confessing or knowing Christ. I attended a church that was allowed by the government but not promoted. I walked by armed police with rifles to enter the main door and inside was the Presence of God that was unlike anything I can describe. I didn't understand the pastor (who spoke Chinese) but everyone in there had hands raised, tears in their eyes, reinforcing the pastor's words. Everyone there, including me, focused completely on the Presence because at any time, those armed guards could enter that church and take all of us to prison ---- if they thought something was being said against the government or the Party. I left China after a year because the person I married (a 'christian') was more a burden than a help-meet. I came to realize that just because a person confesses the Lord, it doesn't mean you will be equally yoked!!! (It may be the person is a 'professor' and not a possessor; or it could mean that the person was not God's Choice --- even though they knew the Lord!!!! Two Christians together does not mean it's God's Will for those two to be together!!). It's now April 2022; I'm 61 and have been in the darkest wilderness of my life the past few years. I KNOW that God is preparing me; He will not waste anything to incorporate HIs Will in my life. (I'm still alive so He has a purpose!!! Age means NOTHING to God: He will work through young and old!!!) This video inspired me beyond words. Thanks so much for posting!!! Maranatha.

I think what you do after God has given you the desire for missions is different for each person. Some people need to prepare, some people just need to go. All I can say is for you to seek God for His leading and He will make your paths straight.

Thanks, Sir for your testimony. I am deeply encouraged. I will be praying for you and your ministry. I pray also that God would reveal to me clearly what He has for me. I felt that God is calling me to become a missionary because He has been putting burdens in my heart about missions but I don't know, I am not sure. I have a lot of thoughts just coming out in my head like I am asian, a Filipino, and knowing that there are racism out there happening and other things like that. But then I don't know yet, God knows. Am still seeking His will upon it. And as for now, God is also teaching me in different ways especially my character. And put in my heart a burden to serve Him in ministries in my church and that's a blessing for me to be trained and equipped in the ministry. Hopefully, I would be able to know it clearly and be able to obey Him. Please pray for me. Thank you!

Aww I’m crying hearing this! God is so wonderful and loving to people of all nations! I’ve been reconciled and saved and wish that for everyone who has felt lost, alone, and hopeless. I lived in Japan for four years on a military base. I’m returned to the states and finished high school and now starting to be a part of a church community and read my Bible and pursue the Lord (in college now tho)I’ve always had a relationship with the Lord, but now feeling like he is my one true hope and reason for living. I’ve regained the peace and joy I had before I was disobedient and distant. I’ve had an intense passion and desire to go back to Japan and God has planted so many seeds of light and showed me on more than one occasion that it is possible to spread his love and Gospel to the people of Japan. I’ve even been introduced to the idea of being a Christian counselor! Thank you Jesus for opening my eyes and ears, thank you Holy Spirit for the new heart you’ve enabled me to have. I want to spread this peace love and joy to the people of Japan and anywhere else the lord wants to take me

Sometimes it is better from a witnessing for Jesus perspective to not be able to speak the language. It seemed that I had more opportunities for mission when I was a newbie in Japan. After being here for a long time, it seems to just get normal, and somehow the curiousity that attracts a certain percentage of Japanese is lost. Of course there are opportunities for people who are basically settled in society too, but with a different kind of people.
