Louie I think that having corners that vary noticeably from others could be a prime target for card-marking, making this not a great sleeve to use in official tournaments.

I’ve gotten one of their deck boxes and dice trays and I absolutely love them. The lid magnetizing to the bottom also makes it a great mini sorting tray. The dice tray unfortunately doesn’t fit bundle spindowns, but it does fit like 10 prerelease kit spindowns. In my opinion, Ultimate Guard Katana’s are better than Dragonshields. I’ve had multiple sets of Dragonshields where the sleeves are inconsistent straight of the box, specifically the dual mattes. The “weld” on the bottom of the sleeves is bumpy and looks like it has a sleeve color chipping off, and the sleeves are different widths when holding the deck together. I’ve taken good pictures of this and put in a ticket and no response from Dragonshield. $15 straight into the trash. And for regular, not dual mattes, I’ve had corners chip off like literally breaking off like bits of plastic when using the sleeves for the first time. Like as if the corners were too brittle and just chipping off. I have had none of these issues with Katanas. They are always 100% consistent and they shuffle SOOO good!

Great start in your research. I look forward to seeing you do the same shuffle stress test with Dragonshield and other sleeves. I shuffle 21 x before each match and maybe 10-20x during the match. 600 shuffles gets you a month of heavy play if you play once or twice a week. If a sleeve fails the 600 shuffle test, it is worth less than a penny sleeve. Please do this test with UltraPro penny sleeves as well.

I backed the kick starter. I love them ! The mat fits beautifully into a laptop sleeve

I backed on Kickstarter. Deck boxes are nice but curved corners on sleeves wear and then catch when shuffling. I love the idea of the rounded corners but already have had to replace them

it looks cool for a casual game but id never use these on my main decks after seeing how fast they split. the mat and boxes on the other hard look great, and id definitely use them if i didnt already have a mat i like right now

Discovered these at PAX Unplugged. I'm all in on these. They're great. I think the deck boxes are a bit too expensive for kinda boring design but the sleeves handle like a dream.

i got a box of white ones and played 2-3 times a week for 3-4hours and none of them split from the corners. Maybe im lucky or dont mash shuffle as hard as other people do.

Don't really care about sleeves. But love the deckbox! Magnets are cool but just the overall design of it and how sleek the logo looks make me really like them.

I have been using the more expensive deckbox, dice tray and playmat for about 6 months now and I can't recommend them enough. The system as a whole is wonderful and they all feel great to use and open/close (the dice box most, it is so fulfilling to open and close.) They have all also held up well over time. Their only problem is the price point as I think the nicer versions are prohibitively expensive. The sleeves on the other hand were a no-go for me, I would not recommend them as I personally thought they felt too cheap and were prone to the breakage you show. But beyond the sleeves, I really love Heavy Play products and recommend them (especially the playmat and dice box) to anyone. They do also now offer the larger deckboxes for doublesleeved commander decks with tokens.

For Modern with the amount of time you're shuffling your deck before rounds, during games, for 5+ rounds...that seems super iffy. Getting a judge call into a DQ because your sleeves are dinged and "marked" is a serious feel bad.

I bought these as well and supported Heavy play while they were on kickstarter. In my opinion, they make a very nice deck and dice box, and playmat. Sleeves are cool but not as good as dragon shield.

Sleeves look like a way to mark your deck just turning some of your cards upside down, actually clipping a corner is a magicians trick with cards... seems reallllly dumb. But yes I do not see any problems being solved here and is just another deck box. I have never seen anyone have issues with putting their dice/deck to the side of them or knocking then around unexpectedly ever... like ever... in likely tens of thousands of games over decades of table top gaming... The dice tray seems like a fun fidget toy though.

Not a fan of the sleeves. I hate sleeves that arnt flat. Doubling sleeving these have a looseness that makes the inner sleeves wavy. Very unsightly

These sleeves are amazing. Smooth has hell. And the curve really saves time in reorganizing the cards if its flipped upside down.
