How Good Are The Geometry Dash SPINOFF GAMES?

Geometry Dash has had 3 spinoff games over the years featuring some extra new levels for us to play: Geometry Dash Meltdown, World, and SubZero. Today, I'll be going back to these games and determining how good I believe the levels are from the view of a veteran player, and also trying to figure out how good they are from the view of a new player.

Geometry Dash World is definitely the best. It has featured levels, daily and weeklies, scores and 10 small levels. It helps teach new players to play.

Fun tidbit of info about GD World: Idk if theres a specific reason this would happen, I just assumed people who downloaded the game very early on could do it. But basically, some people could access their save data on GD World and load their stats. This allowed for very few people to enter the vault, and discover The Challenge before 2.1 even came out. It was also the only way to try the Spider gamemode before 2.1 officially released. Some of us even found new vault codes during this time. It was a lot of fun, and definitely made the release of 2.1 so much more memorable. Im glad I was one of the few who could load my stats lmao.

I’m not a new player, just a bad one, but subzero still trips me up with its unpredictable mechanics. Maybe theres something funky going on with being on an older device, but power trips wave section kills me every time it switches directions unless I’m exactly in the middle. I just hit a corner and die for no reason.

I see GD World as a tutorial game. I learned how to play GD on It. I remember taking 2 HOURS to beat Level 3. It also other stuff related to levels created by the community. Its a free game, so even If you cant look up levels you can play featured ones. Btw, the main levels are better than Meltdown's.

I genuinely don't get the hate for it. Like I literally got so much better at using the UFO and playing with mirror portals because of World. Not to mention having featured and daily levels for free is actually insane. Like usually you don't have to the full version bc it's too expensive, but because you might be a kid who can't pay for stuff without their parents' permission. So they would have ended up with 6 long levels (Meltdown + Subzero) and only the short levels in World.

funfact: i first started playing gd on moblie, and my first level was press start, i joined in like 2.1 (I gave it a 6/10 then, but now-adays i give it a 9/10

as someone who actually started with gd subzero, i can confirm that it did take a long time, aka about a week to a month to beat press start in over 200 atts... Editors note: just gonna say this as well, i also found all the levels to be very fun, and kind of a let down when i played gd world next and slowly realised that i had started in the 2.2 spinoff I now have been playing the full version for 4 years on pc, racked up about 3.8k hours and am still waiting for 2.2

Geometry Dash World was the first gd version i played, i remember we were going to get burger king and i asked my dad if i could download a game on his phone (cuz i was bored) and i saw geometry dash world and i downloaded it and played it and had lots of fun

Mirror portals are great, embers was the third level to start in a different game mode, gravity was not introduced in round 1 it was frontlines which was a whole world before that level, and my sister never played gd and it took her many tries to beat each level and she gave up on the last one
