Great question and the only one that I think may be in question is the really fancy one that you need to pay extra for. That one may have an age limit I can't remember but all the others we had the children with us.

Thank you Chris. If you are speaking Cancun then I would say the resort right next door to the Grand Fiesta is the Hyatt Ziva and that has been my favorite in Cancun. Experiencing Isla Mujjeres off the coast of Cancun was also amazing from a day visit beach experience. I visited Banff, Canada last year for the first time and if your considering mountains it was stunning.

Thank you for the three videos. They are very helpful! we will go to Cancun and stay at the same hotel as you did. ! I wonder when did you go, January 2023? I thought the seaweed season in Cancun were Apr - Oct. I will go in Sept 2023 and hope the sea is good. I also wonder if you tried the water activities, such as snorkeling, SUP, and jet ski? My son is 9 by then and hope he could have some fun with the water sports. Thank you!

Thanks Shirley we went July 2021. I didn't try any of the water activities but someone in our party did the jetskis and had fun. We had a bunch of kids in our party and they all had fun. I did a review of the Hyatt Ziva resort which is right next door and that place is wonderful as well.

is there a big selection at the buffets at lunch and dinner ? we stayed at the moon palace last year and the selection for lunch and dinner at the buffets was the worse !!

The big buffet place I only went to for breakfast and there was a ton to choose from. The other breakfast place that we went to had a smaller buffet but was still good.

Tipping is totally optional. It isn't required, I just choose to do it.

Nice review. Are shorts okay during the day or even in evening? I’m sure not in the most upscale restaurants; but if we decide to do casual (shorts) at night is there somewhere we can eat at without any issue?

Hello, yes at the all-inclusives I have been to so far all the items in the room are free. They get restocked each day or more often if you call for more items. The fridge usually includes Water, Sodas, and beer no hard liquor. Thanks for the comment.

Hi thanks for such great videos. We are going at the end of March and your visits are very helpful. Do you recall there being a good amount of vegetarian options in the menu over there? Are there any international cuisines options?

Aparna thank you for the nice comment. I don't know specifically about vegetarian options b/c no one in our party is a vegetarian but my wife has some food allergies that we have to order special all the time and they were very accommodating on that front. I can't imagine that they wouldn't be able to make sure you are satisfied b/c the service was unreal.

@@sk100ca Hi there, sorry for the late reply. Hope this is still helpful. It wasn't so bad.. We actually didn't eat at any of the restaurants that required a reservation. We were lounging by the pool quite a bit and ordered a lot of food right there.. quesadillas, guac and chips were all good. It was not too bad. The Vina Del Mar had good breakfast which really filled us up.. The dinner there wasn't too great.. Particularly the Indian food.. The "Indian" rice was terrible. Overall we felt that it was not too bad but nothing great.

Some of the ppl in our party did get local currency but I stuck with dollars b/c the conversion is higher for the employees of the resort so I wanted to double thank them.

I don't believe so. We had our daughter with us but she was 20 at the time. All the children in our party did not go to this dinner.

Im in this hotel right now and I want to say respectfuly that your review it’s not true at all ! I understand you want to be nice but staying in this hotel for 300$ a night is absolutely wasting money.The good is very bad I give 3 out 10

Sararogh I'm very sorry to hear that. My reviews are subjective and our families visit to this resort was very pleasant and enjoyable. What is frustrating you the most, I'm curious more than anything. Bad vacations are the worst and it stinks when that happens. Your score can be a 3 out of 10 while my experience was very enjoyable, that is the great thing about people's opinions.

@@detailedtraveler the resort is pretty but the bars will open at 11.30 am till 6 pm only.after that the is dead.the buffet is very low key foods .its not really good food like steaks or seafood or voracity of. fruits and vegetables.the restaurants are not serving any high quality foods not crabs or lobster or good fish.for paying 350 usa per nights its totally wasting money.i went with pants and kinda sexy tag top at breakfast buffet and they asked me to cover myself lol its a jock ,I wasn't even with bikini or anything like that .its hot and by the beach so I liked to wear something open .

Totally understand your opinions. I like low key when it comes to entertainment so I guess it fixy expectations, if you were expecting lively nightlife it def doesn't fall into that for the typical Cancun vacation, that I understand. I liked the food but maybe I have lower dollar pallet. That sucks to hear about the attire issue that certainly is no fun I'm sorry to hear that.

You talked about tipping. What is considered a “good tipper”? Like $5 for breakfast $10 for lunch, $15 for dinner? Do you tip the bartender in the beginning or after each drink? $1-$2 a drink or $20 a day. I appreciate your advice.

Great question. I think your thought process is right on. I follow similar rules for tipping. I usually drop a 20 at the bar at the beginning of the day if I'm going to stay near the same bar. If I'm moving around a lot I'll tip smaller throughout the day. I usually don't tip every drink but I do like to reward really awesome service.

That is correct. We ate there almost every morning and were able to walk in each day. I would say we hit it btw 8 and 9 am
