How Good Is The New MECH ? (Mech BREAKDOWN) | Helldivers 2

Since the release of the new PATRIOT EXO-45 EXOSUIT last week we have been having loads of fun testing against Automatons and Terminids and playing in every scenario. I have tested it in a lot of different ways and I can tell you, it ROCKS (in most cases lol).

I've seen some reports of Helldiver EXO-45's actually taking damage from fire. It's not consistent, but there seem to a whole *ton* of malfunctions that make the Exosuits not act correctly. Such as shutting down it's thermal defenses, mis-firing the rocket launcher and blowing yourself up, all that stuff. ...then there's also the fact it doesn't take dropship landings well. It doesn't seem like it's intended to be for Helldiver usage, but we were diverted the EXO-45 supply because no other exosuit is available.

Wait, so you're saying that this is intended ? If so, then this just got way more interesting lol

@@ultimateog Not sure but it would be one hell of a twist if it was! Mostly just saying that it's buggy AF atm in-character. But yeah given the mech can just, spontaneously combust on a field landing (due to uneven terrain)...

Yup, we spotted using them because it's just so random.. I badly for a rockies when I tell him to use it, he takes 3 steps and it starts on fire lol.

Hopefully they fix the bugs with it. Like it spontaneously dying on being brought in, or exploding while shooting rockets while moving, or melee becoming non functional after taking damage, or key rebinding not working for it, etc.

Yeah, very true, it has bugs (no pun intended lol), but I saw the team working very hard on everything right now, the poor devs have to grind non-stop to make everything perfect, I see them looking through bug submissions constantly

Yeah, it is basically bug counter. Hopefully if they went with difference version good at difference thing than I want some good bot counter variant in the future update too.

You made a really good point there, imagine something like a mech, but it's against Automatons, holy sh*t I would love that lol

There was a leak of a version with quad autocannons. Idk, if that will solve the getting obliterated from nowhere issue, tho.

I can see a combination of mech/smoke working against bots but seems like a lot of effort and coordination for maybe not enough payoff to warrant it.. I guess it depends on how many you can take out with it before it inevitably gets wrecked and if that's more than a few well placed airstrikes.

Yeah, me and my buddies actually tried it, it works, but you can't see sh*t through the smoke 😂

I used it one time, and it felt bad and died fast. So many better strategems to use.

I mean, it really depends in what situation you use it. But I feel you if that happened against the automatons lol

It's okay, it's not for everyone, I appreciate you sharing your opinion though, I see many people not using it either and instead taking other stratagems, it's different how everyone sees it and that's completely okay!
