I remember when Walmart started selling the premade subs in their produce section. I’ve only eaten a few of them Over the years but have really enjoyed them when I get them. They are not as good as a fresh subway sub but you get a bigger sub for half the price so what do you expect? You should do a video on those.
@RidinDirtyRollinBurnouts4 жыл бұрын
I know we're here for the cheap *and* questionable foods, but food lion does make some good subs that are pretty good and still cheaper than subway. not as good as subway but I imagine it's in the middle between these and subway

I mostly agree. The lettuce can go bad fairly quickly in those sandwiches. When they're made properly, they're delicious.
@LatitudeSky4 жыл бұрын
Subway is such a mess these days and costs a fortune for what you get, so the Walmart subs are not bad they're much cheaper. So I'd call it a win. The only problem is condiments.
@FormerRuling4 жыл бұрын
I grab those walmart subs for lunch atleast once a month or so and can say that they are pretty good (I always remove all lettuce from them though their lettuce is slimy). Their italian sub and the chicken bacon ranch both come with condiments to squeeze on them, but as another commenter mentioned you gotta improvise your own condiments for the others - I do so by raiding the deli counter where they sometimes have mustard, and if not I can buy some BBQ or honey mustard dipping sauces to pour on.

One of the things I like about this channel is the realistic perspective on all the food, like typically when people review processed meat slurry concoctions and microwaved bread they’re just gonna Melodramatically complain about how bad it is and blow it out of proportion but food is food, it’s actually not that easy to make something completely inedible

I've had these at work a couple times when I forgot my lunch. I take the bread off and pop it in the toaster. While I heat the meat up in the microwave.. 1000% better that way! The bread gets too hot and soggy from the microwave..

My breakfast sandwich recipe: Heat up 2 frozen breakfast sausages in an iron skillet. Take out 2 slices of american cheese to let them warm up. Toast an english muffin. When toasted, immediately put a slice of cheese on each slice, put the sausage on top. Press lightly to melt the cheese. Way cheaper than pre made, and a lot better!
@magzdilluh2 жыл бұрын
I have found that for the best experience of these sandwiches you have to separate the frozen components and heat them up at different times: bread microwaves the fastest, so the shortest time for that. Egg and meat microwaves the slowest so give them the most time. Cheese can be glued to your other stuff so that can vary.
@Brock_Landers4 жыл бұрын
So real talk, when I was 16 (21 years ago) I worked at a Burger King in Florida and back when I first started their eggs weren't an actual egg, but they were decent and fell apart like an egg should. Then, they changed their eggs and when they first came in we were throwing one around like a frisbee. We were surprised to see how resilient it was as a frisbee instead of an egg.

These actually are as bad as you think..and its more time consuming but take the burger apart. Heat the patty for 1 minute then if it fits, put your bun in the toaster to bring it back to life then once everything is heated assemble with your own toppings and it's 20x better than just nuking the whole burger.

Hey, the deli made subs they have at Wal-Mart arnt half bad. THe only issue is they come with no condiments on it, but thats easy peasy. The pack is sposed to come with some mayo and mustard but if doesnt, and you can see in the clear pack, just go ask someone over the counter for some. They are pretty dang tasty. Love the Italian subs. Roast beef n cheddar is also good. ALSO they have the picante chunky salsa you can ask for which makes it just kick.
