As a newb (with 150hrs now) gs herald (both qdps and dps) were the classes that finally clicked and made me commit to a single character. They feel really, really nice, are not wet noodles and I can spec Hizens Condi Vindi build if I need to solo a champion, even if it feels not nearly as round imo. Absolutely everything I wished from a class/profession.

Just hit 80 last night but have played for almost a decade and have never taken the plunge. But so excited to finally main Revenant. The biggest flaw for me with rev is lack of mobility. But was thinking Surging or Cavalier runes to help. Appreciate your insight on the profession. Really like how you explain things rather than just show build and post montage. Will wait for upcoming build videos.

Appreciate it! Rev has a lot of in-combat mobility skills like teleports. So it’s mobile in that regard. If you run the herald elite spec, you also have permanent swiftness on your facet.

You forgot core revenant. Devastation, Retribution, Invocation was always a really strong combination since the inception of the class. The only downside was a lack of weapon options which is now gone.

I feel like the game has been power creeped so much, core revenant legend options just aren’t as viable. Glint/Alliance stance are massive.

i try hybrid power/condi (more toward power with shiro) with shortbow herald. The damage is amazing, power melt them down while condi slowly kill them if they run away or dodge. best of both world

this is awesome :) i need to main a heavy and so far i loved Herald when it came out in HOT. im returning player, i have one of each class and rev was fun but was missing something. I think this new idea use weapons of all professions was a great idea for GW2!! i main, Ele, ranger and like clone Mesmer. I have been looking for a heavy class to play and now i think i will build my Rev :) thank you so much fo your vids and help :)

for shortbow herald the reason why u prob dont like it is because u went full condi try full damage SB herald with greatsword switch its actually nuts shortbow imo was never meant for condi the burst dmg of the shortbow is out of this world in a full dmg build

Greatsword condi herald is what I play. Hard to kill, hard to keep dead, every condi feeds into each other perma regen, might and fury plus condi transfer

@spudzie9117 didn't look at my build but basically if it has to do with hp leech, regen, hp, or torment it's there and the last trait in malyx is the transfer. Also you take the fury trait over the might one in glint. Somehow I get quickness when energy is in down trend so malyx 0 skill becomes completely busted while it's active because the greatsword attacks like a dagger while you pulse out torment

Alliance stance / Assassin stance berserker amulet, rune of the eagle, relic of evasion. hammer + greatsword => sigils of energy + sigils of intelligence Devastation traitline: 1-3-1 Invocation traitline: 1-2-1 Alliance traitline: 1-2-1 it has low cleanse, but because you have lot of ranged and projectile denial, you can avoid a lot + many dodges by skills + vindicator one and 1 block 😉. Personaly I didn't had condi problems in teamfights, even with multipble oppressive condi builds because of ranged and right timing greatsword. Because you have more quickness and 100% on weapon swap hammer becomes easier and the cc same
