I don't think the reprint of Fuwalos is because they're planning on banning it asap. I think there's evidence from the OCG banlist that they understand the mistake of Maxx C and want these cards to take its place. Furthermore, card design has been difficult because of the separation of formats with OCG and TCG not having Maxx C. I believe Konami wants these cards to be the new face of Yugioh. If you listened to OCG discussions, you'd understand that the main gripe of Maxx C within the OCG playerbase is that the card wasn't marketable enough. The Mulcharmys are, and they are already being sold as plushes already. No. TCG Konami isn't going to ban these cards. They want every player to have access to them ASAP as well as wanting to push Stampede.

I agree, I just pointed this out to another commenter somewhere that thought this surely meant fuwalos was getting banned. 1) While this rarity banlist thing is not a rule, if it was, it was applying to generic boss monsters with negates (baronne, appo). People also thought this rule was gonna apply for SP, because it is a generic boss monster, but it does NOT have a negate. And, surprise surprise, not on the banlist! (It's not a problem card) 2) Why would konami print these diet maxx c designs in the game if they somehow didn't want this game to go in that direction? Really? FOUR mulcharmies and you think they're gonna ban it? For whatever reason, konami as a whole loves maxx c (OCG, master duel) but realizes it's completely broken so they made these diet versions to phase out the main man. This is how they want the game to be played, and being in the TCG doesn't change this fact 3) Announcing a reprint THIS early (unprecedented I believe) only to ban it immediately would be the ultimate middle finger to the community, and would make no sense, confusing everyone. Konami is certainly not above it for sure, but I would bet money against this happening. It would also be way too early to ban a secret from a core set, even with the early reprint. Just doesn't add up. I only got back into the game a year ago and this pattern is already obvious to me

OCG players are very angry with the semi-limiting of Maxx C and really dislike the Mulcharmys as cards and think they are bad card design. So who knows, maybe Konami might listen to the OCG players and not ban Maxx C after all.

Even though, the reality that we got 4 in such a small time frame is likely due to need of capitalizing on the product, because it is so successful, rather than helping out the community get the shine for cheap.

I think one aspect of bonanza and stampede that people arent talking about much is the alternate arts. I think bonanza did something really cool with a bunch of alternate arts at the qcr level, they're still part of the core set so not too expensive but they look really nice, especially since many of these only had the controversial premium gold rare variants instead. I got my alt art shizuku and dragonmaid cards before the hype, and can say they look amazing. The description for stampede mentions "brand-new" alt arts, meaning they are either just new versions overall or imports of the ones that only ocg has gotten so far like albaz and the live twins. Either one is fine imo, it's something many of us have been asking to get for a long time and this kind of set is the perfect place to put them

For this set I'm super happy for the Fuwalos reprint. I pulled 2 of my Fuwalos (With one being a QCR) but it feels crappy that so many people were priced out of it. Additionally, I'm really hoping for a Magia reprint, and for the old school card pool Power Tool Dragon + Life Stream Dragon just to match the rest of the Signer Dragons.

I’m gonna play devils advocate with the Fuwos reprint with those upset with it. I’m a happy owner of the card and Im never looking to off-load my high end cards because I’m not looking at my hobby to pay me back. But to my actual point, this reprint allows the players at my locals that don’t have it, to have another chance to gain access to it so that I can put my dueling to the test even to prep for a larger tournament. I’m excited for it all.

The fact they've revealed fuwalos so early is fantastic for shops, as it guarantees a good product that'll fly off the shelves. What a wonderful move konami. And this also removes the very toxic nature that it gatekeeping people from playing staples due to price

Players being out almost $500 bucks for 3 cards *before* the tins (Reprintsike this normally take a year) is maddening. I'd never trust Konami with anything if I had a stake in this game. Make the game affordable off the bat instead of locking eveything behind max rarity with 0 recourse and then playing a game of chicken with the playerbase of "Whens the value tank?"

Doubly so when the line of comeptitive is starting to not start at big city regionals but just *regionals* in general. Compound that with how lopsided gameplay can be in this game compaired to other TCGs and I'm not sure there are many players fine with going to locals and going winless every week to better decks.

I really hope the QCR pull rates are just a little bit more generous with this set. 3 QCRs from nostalgia per box was really rough, and there were entirely too many platinum secret rare (and a lot of picks definitely felt more like filler than nostalgia--looking at you, Disk Commander). It's one of the last 2 sets with QCRs, and Konami's really had this thing going on for a long time now, so it really SHOULD go out with a better bang than cash grab version 4, but... we know it'll be the latter.

im convinced Konami had data that the way they handled fiendsmith and especially these mulcharmy's was the last straw for a lot of players and this is their emergency nuke solution. I was willing to wait a well over a year before mulcharmy got a reasonable reprint. The flip side to be fair is if they are in fact finally ending the QCR stuff, it makes a ton of sense for them to get both mulcharmys in there to cement it in QCR and all the other rarities.

My main hope with fuwa being reprinted this early and this accessibly is that this is konami's first major step towards lowering the average cost of the game. Potentially rework future set structure and using Stampede as a way to clean up the past

I need your advice. How are the american collectors rare from bonanza compared to the eu? I know in ra01 and ra02 the eu ones had a better more visible collectors effect/pattern. Is that still like that? Do the bonanza american collectors rare still stick to the sleeve?

what will happen to the tins? I mean, Fuwalos seemed like a good reprint to sell them to oblivion, but now is already announced for this product. I personally don't care for the high value cards, I barely play these days, but this reprint system looks kinda bad for small stores, the cycle seems too vague now, as, what will be the incentive to buy tins? What they will offer now? Stampede (RA04) will be once/twice a year? Is really the finale of the 3 years of the 25th anniversary? Some new product will replace the slot for Stampede for 2026 or will be the new model for the spring reprint set?

Megatins hurt Booster sets. Rarity / Bonanza killed the megatins. So will Stampede finish off Booster sets? Such an early reprint sets a terrible precedent for future boosters.

The issue with Fuwalos is the pattern it sets a precedent for on the heels of Bonanza crapping all over the mega tins. Look: To all the bootlicking Andys out there that like to say "X is not an investment," you're flat out wrong. Investment isn't just about money or time, it's about value extracted per unit of limited resource. Many big name games have been playing this game for years where they start to feel like mobile and free to play games: Really only objectively worth it if you're a content creator. And I don't mean that from a perspective of a money making vehicle, I mean it from some metric of playing x games/hours/events/etc is when the scale tips toward worth your time/an enjoyable factor. There is this kind of leisure sector inflation that people are getting sick of where they keep sucking more of the enjoyment out of a thing by way of attacking your wallet in incremental amounts reliably and over and over again in order for you to continue to enjoy a thing to the same degree that you used to. It's like a drug tolerance engineered by the company. The anger comes from peoples' hope that this will even out at some point in the game that they love and then it just never happens. That anger then also gets compounded when you here the takes of the people who don't want to entertain the thought of being the frog in the boiling pot of water. Unless you're a streamer or content creator, you're most likely in an abusive relationship with whatever the thing is and just really don't want to leave because of what it means to you.
