@Philip Jubert Gonzales Nope. aldridge signed with spurs to be the main man because tim duncan was retiring soon and he was expected to fill the position when duncan leaves. kawhi was not yet an elite player that time. but then kawhi unexpectedly became an elite superstar each year that aldridge's touches became less and the offense was now centered in kawhi. remember aldridge requested to be traded on 2017 summer complaining lack of touches but then Pop didnt want to trade him.

LaMarcus was a very good basketball player. His basketball fundamentals were very well developed, and even though he had a robust frame, he was a finesse player. He always seemed like an introvert, and it might have had something to do with his health now that I think about it. Anyways, he did what he loved to do, and got paid very good money doing it. The only thing missing was the title. Well, there are quite a few very good players (Some are even HOF-ers) that finished their careers without a title so no big deal. It was a wise decision on his part to retire given his heart condition.

Basically an all-star version of Tim Duncan with no defense

A better version of Rasheed Wallace though

@@ocampbelltx nah not really. Besides the techs Sheed does everything just as good, with better defense. You could argue Aldridge has a better scoring ability but if Wallace played in today’s game he would probably average 20 points a game as well. Not to mention Sheed was before his time, he use to shoot three pointers a little

@@ocampbelltx Glorified Zach Randolph. Portland traded Randolph due to off-the-court issue to turn the page from the Jail Blazers era and replaced him with Aldridge, but I always thought Randolph played with more of an edge and mean streak than Aldridge.
