Matt Ryan, the longtime quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, officially retired from the NFL after playing 15 seasons. His career spanned 14 seasons with the Falcons and one season with the Indianapolis Colts. Ryan was selected third overall by the Falcons in the 2008 NFL Draft and became a key leader for the team. He achieved remarkable milestones during his career, including 62,792 passing yards and 381 touchdowns, both ranking in the top 10 in league history. In 2016, under the guidance of offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, Ryan secured his lone NFL MVP award. That same season, he led the Falcons to Super Bowl LI, where they held a 28-3 lead before ultimately falling to the New England Patriots. Despite the heartbreak, Ryan’s impact on the Falcons franchise was undeniable.
