Granmarg is fun casually, but yeah. You'd think being able to nuke any set card with how prominent sets were back in the day would be a huge benefit, but I guess Mobius blowing up 2 and Caius/Raiza having non destruction methods of removal was just more tempting. Ntm that Rock decks back then were just...well they were ass LMFAO. At least Pyro had Volcanics which at least had a niche and COULD win. I blew away some Blackwing players at huge local events in MI with my deck, as unoptimal as it was lmao. Summoner Monk and Ceasefire OP.

I really appreciate the FalseSwipeGaming inspired video! Basically doing what they do, but for competitive yugioh decks. I've always wondered how some decks or certain cards did in the meta from all the way from release to present day, but due to shabby information sources and personally not really knowing where to look, I'd never been able to find out for myself. Please do more of these! I'd love to see the TITANIC swing of how Superheavies became Tier 0, or how some archetypes that were jokes like Ice Barrier and Genex became monsters, or how fan favorite archetype decks like Red Daemon's Dragon/Resonators or Morphtronics went from "splashable in other decks but not great on their own" to "Alright this is really damn fun." I personally LOVE Red Daemon's Dragon, I'm a HUGE Jack Atlas fan, and honestly just a huge fan of Yugioh in general, and I'd love to help with script writing if you ever need that sort of thing! Feel free to reply and we can exchange deets!

Monarchs still see competitive play to this day, from myself included. Its still not a bad Archetype to use and can still be consistent in today's Yugioh. I just wish Konami could create more direct support for them. New monarchs, new vassals/squires, And maybe some more new spells and traps to recycle the GY and Banish Zones much more consistently AND possibly lessen the deck bricking. Monarchs have been my go to since their release long ago and far away, and The Emperor of Darkness Structure deck was what got me back in from a 2 year hiatus. But Its already bad enough we get more than too many different archetypes to choose from when it comes to deck introductions and building

This series has potential but its missing some things. A big one is visual flair, it's just boring to sit and look at nothing but PNGs of cards and decklists for 20 minutes straight. Including things to spice up the visuals such as showing master duel footage of spotlighted cards/interactions like mega raiza resolving or monarch's getting destroyed by rising strategies while talking about how they themselves fall off, similar to how FSG uses pokemon game footage that's related to what they're describing in a pokemon HGWTA? Sectioning off portions of the video using chapters might also be a good idea because as it's jarring how there are little to no transitions between the different eras of prominence. You just speed through and it leaves the viewer with no time to absorb the information given. Splitting by Master Rules like how FSG segments their videos by generation would give the viewer a much needed second to catch their breath. This is an overall pretty good vid im not bashing it or anything this series has a lot of potential and I just don't want to see the growth stunted because it's missing some key things that made the original FSG series so successful in the first place. Competitive Pokemon Singles and VGC is very niche but the videos are made in such a way that ANYONE can sit down and enjoy them even if they have no knowledge about the competitive workings of Pokémon. I think that the way this version of the format is being presented will result in it JUST being popular among already invested Yugioh players (which is a good start don't get me wrong!) I don't think it has enough in order to hook in those with little yugioh background at the moment.

5:13-6:19 I feel like there is a huge jump in time here. Individual Monarchs were splashed in a myriad of decks and Frognarch was Meat/Rogue playable for a significant amount of time. There is a 5 year, 7 month and 6 day gap between the release of Caius and the first Mega Monarch (Granmarg), which is being completely skipped. I think this is a huge blind spot of this video as Frognarch or Diva Monarch were/are some of the most fun decks in Edison format, and Frognarch specifically saw success outside of this format at the Rouge level at least. I think this series is great, but each video so far missed some very interesting/fun part in the history of the deck that is being discussed in them. I don't know if these parts are being cut intentionally or if maybe a second person with enough knowledge on the topic needs to proofread the scripts before production starts, but I would love if these videos where more comprehensive of all the major changes the decks went through and what success they had through out the years and not just a select few formats. I had the same issue with the HERO video and would love to see improvement on this. I also feel like there was not enough emphasis on just how good Monarchs were from 2004-2008. At some point before and after the release of SOI the deck was so dominant that if you played competitively you HAD to play some number of Monarchs and the deck itself was THE best deck of the format. Hell, DDT and DAD played some number of Raiza/Caius in the main/side because they were just that good. I would also love if there was maybe a timeline added to the video or at least be shown at the end so we can see for just how long some of these decks have been around. I hope you and your team keep up the great work and strive to produce even better content. The pacing on this video was especially good and the lack of long pauses made it very engaging.
