I hate it's move malignant chain because how less synergy it has compared to it's other moves in doubles. You can use poison gas to poison and confuse both the enemy pokemons turn 1 and then use 130 BP hex or venoshock while with malignant chain you just have a chance to badly poison 1 of the pokemon. Better in singles though but they could've at least given this moves guaranteed normal poison

Conceptually Pecharunt is kind of cool because it’s rare for a pokemon with that high physical bulk to both have reliable recovery and a speed stat that isn’t like base 30 speed. Of course, it has a lot of things holding it back, but that makes sense given the physical bulk.

👻 I do agree that Pecharunt isn't the most amazing Pokemon on paper, but given the right circumstances, it can definitely put in some work and help the rest of the team out. I just tried a Pecharunt team on Showdown with it running Toxic, Malignant Chain, Fake Tears, Protect, and Leftovers. In the long run, the toxic and confusion combo really helped me out against a team with Flutter Mane and Incineroar. Its ghost typing also means it's immune to Fake Out.

The current build I'm using has a Calm Nature with Leftovers and Tera Ghost: 252 HP, 252 Sp.Def, 4 - Toxic - Hex - Recover - Destiny Bond It's a bulky sonuvagun, but it's Day One of the Peach Meta, and I'm sure there's some interesting ways to run it offensively.

I see this pokémon doing well on a stall team. It's traits are so bizarre yet so fitting for stall, now have a physically defensive spin blocker that has guaranteed poison on top of confusion. It's ability to not be passive is also very helpful for stall as well. I think this pokémon is going to have a niche in that team comp, but I understand why people say it's not as great as it seems. As someone who's played Stall for years, this pokémon for me seems like a new addition for the colorful cast of stallers to choose from.

Think about it: them being disappointing as "legendaries" is entirely on-theme. They're cowards and just bullies that crumble without their numbers. Hell, even with 3 of them fighting and the leader hanging back like a coward, Ogerpon absolutely fucking folded them by herself and manually put them 6ft into the ground. They weren't all that to begin with, people just didnt get what was goin on

My first exposure to using Pecharunt was in Fortemons. Malignant Chain as its item made all its moves a malignant pain, as Acid Spray not only severely reduced the Sp. Def of opponents, every hit threatened a 1/2 chance of the target getting badly poisoned AND confused. So many free switch outs from that alone. I also piled on Hex, in order to hit the now-poisoned and confused opponent for massive damage that was a guaranteed KO, Recover to help with longevity, and Protect for funsies (and in case I needed to scout). TLDR Pecharunt is so annoying to face off against, and using it feels like you're committing a war crime.

I'm excited to use it in doubles. Poison gas, nasty plot, hex, venoshock with leftovers, and you shouldn't even fear steel types for the most part. Pair it with a prankster t-wave user for some parafusion shenanigans. I'm thinking tera dark maybe, to remove its weaknesses.

I personally use my mecha for a defensive pivot. I have max spdef max hp and it tanks every hit and can parting shot out. I know gloking is technically better but parting shot can enable frail pokemon to set up.

yeah very lackluster as a design and to be labeled a mythical which is sad. Marshadow was a nice change to the landscape of them always having 100 in all stats but this one is a ball drop. Its ability should work both ways : Confuse targets that you poison or leave them regular poisoned if you confuse but with how corrosive works so poison steels/poison mons if you confuse targets. would be the weaker poison so it wasn't broken
