9:04 I'd say you'd still play imperm/veiler before you play fuwalos, the idea with fuwalos/maxx c is that it'll draw you into other hand traps to stop the opponents plays and if you don't play other hand traps aside from the draw ones, then you run risk of your opponent just calling your bluff and going full combo anyways.

With c, especially going first there's also the risk of giving them too much card advantage giving them the ability to break your board. But i probably still agree to play imperm (maybe not vieler) b4 fuwalos

@@tiwiorogun1767 Judging from personal experience so take this with a grain of salt but with the exception of tenpai, most decks have a hard time breaking meta boards even if you go +6 from draws. I feel like because it's a bo1, most decks are way too hyper-optimized in going first that they have a hard time breaking boards even if you have tons of advantage.

I don't enjoy the Prospect that the Mulcharmmy's are here with fully legal with Unlim Maxx "C", but in Bo1 only decks that have too much room to begin with like Tenpai Dragon will be the only decks playing it. I'm fairly confident it'll go down just as an OK card that only a few people will play. If you REALLY wanted to be on top of the paranoid Crossout Game you'd run 3-1 Maxx-Fuwa, but you'd much prefer to just be running Maxx "C" with cards that stop the opponent like Veiler instead of dedicating slots to Extra Draws. Especially so when Fuwa will shuffle your hand back at random if you still have surplus cards.

I would obviously prefer Maxx "C" be banned while these cards are legal in MD. While that isn't the case and I don't think that will change anytime soon, I do think that the charmies won't be as impactful as some might believe. Most decks that don't already have the room for them will simply prefer to play only Maxx "C" as it has a superior effect, and even decks that could theoretically fit the charmies might still prefer to keep the handtraps they already run since the charmies don't actually affect your opponents' plays directly. Pak released a KZbin video some time ago with a Centur-Ion list he topped with in the TCG when Fuwalos first released. In it he talked at length about whether to main-deck Fuwalos when Centur-Ion typically wants to have as many handtraps available to disrupt the opponent as possible. He argued that having the actual disruptions was likely better than playing Fuwalos in the main-deck when going blind into a match since Fuwalos, while simlilar, isn't nearly as impactful as Maxx "C" since it doesn't cover every situation and can be much more easily played around. Not knowing what you're up against means you'd prefer to have as many answers as possible in as wide a variety as possible for as many decks as possible. TL;DR Fuwalos is very strong and worth considering to add to most decks in Master Duel, but it doesn't necessarily affect every deck in the same way and can be played around much easier depending on the deck it's played against when compared to Maxx "C"

It’s kinda shocking how good just having a monster around is in some decks. Just having a monster to normal summon or send from hand to GY is enough for some decks. Especially decks that have rank 4’s, generic links, just need any monster on field, etc.

I think Fuwalos is being blown (slightly) out of proportion. And it’s mostly TCG players who feel that the card is an auto-include in MD. I think there are a handful of decks that might be able to play it but because MD is best of one, and we already have Maxx C, I don’t really think it’s as good as in TCG or OCG. The one issue I have is I think the card’s very existence will result in more Droll play, which kills my current deck. But I’ll cross that bridge when I get there

I think that you should run mulcharmies if 1. they have a purpose even if you are going first (Small world bridge, being an aqua so can be little usefull for tear if you mill it etc) 2. Your deck can break boards with mostly engine 3. you have the non engine slots

A cheeky thing that you could do is use Perulia going first and make Adamancipator Dragite part of the endboard. It just seems really really bad to have an endboard based off of an unsearchable card.

Mulcharmies in Master duel when used with maxx c in a best of 1, might force their ratio to 2 each just to reduce multiple copies.

Just a moment ago I had a duel againts a Tenpai player that threw Fuwalos and Maxx C for 2 turns, luckily, I had the duel in the bag after fusing Winda.

Some people have the take that fuwalos is just inferior maxx c and therefore not worth playing at all but that shortcuts the decision making too much, that like saying it's not worth to play both imperm and veiler in the same deck but those are different cards with similar effects and that's the case with fuwalos and maxx c too. If you need to run those cards to have these effects in your deck because they're needed in the format then you run them. And to commend on the potential maxx c ban i'm still sceptical, i could see them semi limiting maxx c maybe but outright banning it soon is unlikely considering for how long they ignored the tcg players complaining about it.

Even if charmys aren't great right now, it's miserable to have effectively 6 maxx c in a bo1 format. Between this, ftk decks, and tenpai still around, there's no fun allowed lol. If the roach gets exterminated, it's much more managable

There are decks like Yubel that can absolutely afford to run a lot of off-engine, so I feel like slotting Charmies in those decks will become more prevalent as the meta progresses.

I'm saying that pretending they have no relevance to the game is disingenuous. For example, Yubel, which will see a spike in play now that it has Varudras, relies heavily on special summoning from the deck and extra deck.

The paranoid of scaring 6 maxx c in deck is officially busted and not true and your should not paranoid about it. I put to test and by playing 3 maxx c and fuwaloss, it totally mess up my deck building and lose multiple match losses your replace other handtrap with this. The only condition, it where it become deadly if your draw maxx c and fuwaloss together but again if your activate both maxx c and fuwaloss or 2 times fuwaloss ,there 50 to 60% chance your opponent brick. Your can pass the turn, deny them to get a draw and most of the time there cannot do anything, because there no card to play start with. Unless you're playing Tenpai, which can play 3 maxx c and 3 fuwaloss which i don't recommend. You're only need 1 copy fuwalos in your deck with ratio 3 maxx c, one fuwaloss, if your have slot after fill in imperm, gamma / delta which way impactful and very hard to stop. The one handtrap i currently still waiting for release is dominus purge and impulse, which i definitely play at 3 in certain deck.

I love hardlegs content but i don't think he called all the mulcharmys additional maxx'cs, if he did he's just doomposting a bit which is fair, he's the biggest proponent of banning maxx c since forever. The fact that mulcharmys are more conditional and you can play around them more is so much more managable. And so far a lot of people are not even convinced that mulcharmys are very good cards and don't even run them so people are just yapping around a bit.
