Bio: Leonardo Torres was raised Catholic and left the church after being threatened to be kicked out for asking questions about the bible concerning his grandfather's death. He identified as an Atheist for 12 years and spent that time actively arguing with anyone who brought up religion. At age 30, he had a strong encounter with God that made him drop his Atheist title and became a free follower of GOD who he calls, "The Great Spirit". Taking God seriously and following Him wherever He leads him, Leonardo was led to start this KZbin Channel, reacting to music as a "Non-Christian" musician reviewing Christian music. Through the music and the stories he began to learn more about Christ and considers himself a Student of Christ. Having been lost and now found, this channel is like a lost and found for lost sheep, Leonardo's goal is to create a safe space where God can find those who are yearning for Him.
Leonardo wants to remind followers of Christ to love one another as they were commanded. He is a man on a mission to spread the love of God to everyone that comes to this channel. Whether you come to stay or are just passing by, we pray your soul is touched by The Holy Spirit and that you are changed forever! Join us on this journey, not by subscribing but by making a commitment to allow His Love into your heart.

When Home Free sings, the angels stop to listen. None of Home Free ever show off just for the sake of showing off. Their musical instincts are spot on every time and they serve the music rather than trying to make the music serve them.

True. The biggest showoff in the a cappella space is Geoff Castellucci. Most of his solo numbers are pure showing off. For example, compare his Take Me Home, Country Road to Home Free’s. When HF sings it, you can easily believe that they’re five homesick West Virginians, even though you know they’re not. When GC sings it, there’s no question; he’s just a gifted basso profundo playing “Look How Low I Can Go,” and the song is nothing but the racquet he plays it with.

Best version I've ever heard...!! As a Pastor myself, and the son of a Pastor, I had this played at my Mom's funeral in May '22. I had introduced Home Free to Mom the last year of her life and she loved them...and loved this version as much as I do. It was beautiful and a wonderful proclamation of the God we love and serve, and the God who loves us and sent His only son Jesus to redeem those who would look to Him, repent of their sins and surrender their lives to Him. Best "cover" ever in my opinion...!!

I think you are missing the Chance element here. When Tim was singing lead, Chance was carrying the bass notes and when the other three sang their leads, Tim and Chance were both singing the bass notes and stacking them so you got a fuller bass note in each.

There are five songs (there may be more that are not coming to mind) that are all singing with no beat boxing. For exquisite harmonies listen to O Holy Night, Helplessly Hoping, Auld Lang Syne and Angels We Have Heard on High. But first listen to Brothers in Arms. I think it is the best performance ever by Tim and the five part harmonies gave me chills. That high Oooo you heard floating atop was Adam Rupp. The video was filmed in the Alps during one of their European tours.

A song I grew up with because I come from a Christian family where my father and grandmother were pastors. My father, who had a beautiful voice, often sang this at home (in Dutch). Home Free sings this so beautifully in a great environment that I let my mother (85) hear and show it a year ago. Now she wants to listen to it regularly and has suggested it to her church community to show it there. How Home Free sings it, you don't just hear it, you also feel it. And it's great that Adam Rupp also sings a bit here. Time to listen to "Mayday:? .Further suggestions: "Go Rest On That Mountain", "Travelin' Soldier", "Dreamer","Take me Home",

First time on your channel. I really enjoyed your reaction to this video. I love this hymn and this rendition. Like you, I love that they stayed true to the original. I think instead of the word "simple" I would use "pure". Rarely is anything that Home Free does simple. I love their videos but the visuals can be distracting. So I watch the video then I replay it, sit back, close my eyes and listen again. There is so much going on with the background vocals not to mention that smooth-as-butter key change. Anyways, thanks for the reaction! May God bless you!

I learned How Great Thou Art in my home church where I grew up until my siblings and I were the only children/youth...it was a time of people (the children of the members) moving out of the city to make their families homes' in the burbs, and also a time of people not coming to church because of trending thoughts on it (eg: it's real?? come on.) Our "Sunday school teacher" (since many have changed the term Sunday school to something wonderful and modern or simply Children's Church)...had been left with no piano players (which were awesome, and humble warriors back then) but insisted we sing this hymn over and over - alternating with Great is Thy Faithfulness. With our little group. We ended up giving our church to another church that was growing. And turns out I know the words forever. And I cried when I heard them this time. Thanks for playing it. Also, It Is Well With My Soul is another old hymn they snuck in there. Which is solid. And written by someone who was experiencing the worst in life. And I remember a four foot high powerful singer from the same church belting it out in the "convelescant hospital" several blocks away - where we took the Sunday service in the hallways with men in wheelchairs on one floor...go upstairs and sing and do a service - prayer and sermon - with the women on the second floor. Upstairs was challenging because we had the service in the lounge and there was a canary that sang with us. A very godly canary. Many of those sweet women would ask: have you come to take me home? Loved that place. Don't know if they allow hymns in there anymore. They rebuilt and I dunno...hope to meet them again. Without their wheelchairs and sorrow. Amen. Maybe there is a bass angel singing along with the bass - but basses (bassi?) are amazing. Flow, river!

Ohhh....no words. Just ....God, how great thou art! My condolences to your friend and his family, but we are truly only parted for awhile. So glad you are his friend. Both my parents have gone home and I miss them very much, though it is almost twenty years now. I know this song will help him when the grief seems too much to bear....usually in the middle of the night when there are no distractions from painful realities. This song I would like played at my memorial service to remind those left behind that I am still praising my God, and they should as well. Thank you, Leonardo, forgive any impertinence in my part....you are my brother in Christ, and in His love, God bless you and yours with His presence in ever increasing measure. Peace, brother.

@@LeonardoTorresMusic I can imagine and I wasn't as irritated at you as I get at some others who reacted to this and did the same thing because you had a very surprised and pleased expression when you heard him. Adam doesn't sing lead very often (his brother says he's not comfortable singing lead because unlike the others he isn't vocally trained) so this is one song where you actually get to hear what a naturally beautiful voice he has instead of just hearing him harmonize with the others. I think most reactors BECAUSE he is singing don't even realize it's Adam.

On studio work, Tim may have recorded the same part 2 or 3 times to thicken it up a little, but those dragon breath notes down around G1 or so are just beautiful. The fun thing is that a lot of Tim's part is similar to the organ pedal tones where it will punch in a beat ahead or behind the other singers. I can just see E. Power Biggs coming down with the left hand and/or foot.

1. Another song I would recommend for your friend, Matthew Sabie, is Monsters by James Blunt (the live/official video). You will appreciate the performance as James insisted on having no corrections or autotune, so as to keep the raw natural performance. You will see why. Bring tissues. 2. There is a video of Home Free singing this in a picnic shelter during a storm. The concert had been called off due to the storm, and a lot of the fans had gathered in the shelter. I am guessing the concert was to have been outdoors. To connect with and thank their audience, HF went over to the shelter and sang this without mics. It is of course not as precisely mixed as a sound board would allow, but it is still a beautiful and inspiring performance, not least of all because of the regard shown for their fans by the boys, which was entirely reciprocated.
