The prank war was easily my favorite part of Hermitcraft season 9 because it made me laugh a ton during the story arc. The last time I laughed a lot at Hermitcraft before that was Mumbo’s arc with the L.O.L.I.T.F.A.I.L.E.D. rocket resulting from his sleep deprivation group at the end of season 8.

The war has essentially come to a halt thanks to Tango and Decked Out, but yea Grian is effectively winning yet another war. The rules of Hermit wars are simple: have Grian on your side and you instantly win

Gotta love how we first had the whole thing with King Ren taking up a role as a villain in his own arc, and when that arc commences, and Ren is forgiven. Then the incident with Grian, Scar and the Button , puts into motion a new arc, a new war, this time against the goat himself, Doc. And Ren even ends up becoming a sidekick to Doc even. Though of course one shouldn't vilify anyone on Hermitcraft, Doc DID end up taking the mantle of villain a bit, much like Ren had done before him. And I don't know about you, but since I DO view Doc as a greater threat than Ren, this whole situation with the wars almost feels like a climax followed by a second greater climax, like how movie models are built up sometimes. Covering the entire perimeter with dirt was like the final blow to the "villain" of that story. Where almost everyone joined forces to accomplish this task, which at the end of the day ended the prank war of season 9. And though of course Doc is a phenomenal person on Hermitcraft, it's hard to avoid the idea that he took the role of villain at heart sometimes. I mean, for crying out loud, he built a old-style propaganda speaker to his tower, blasting the greater vicinity of the neighborhood with literal propaganda as if it was taken from WW2, and the guy's GERMAN! XD

And covering the Perimeter _should_ have also been checkmate, minus the aforementioned qualifiers. Basically, the Goatfather is playing 5D chess and the Buttercups had no hope of checkmating him in _every timeline simultaniously,_ is what happened here.
